The former judge’s “attempted justification” that he gave the journalists the report so that they could publish commentary immediately after the report was released by the ACT government without having to read it first was “not tenable”, the watchdog said. It concluded he had “not, in fact, acted in good faith”.

Sofronoff gave a raft of additional confidential material to Albrechtsen, the commission said, including witness statements, drafts of the report and proposed adverse findings against the then ACT director of public prosecutions, Shane Drumgold, SC.

The ACT Integrity Commission found former Queensland judge Walter Sofronoff, KC, “significantly compromised the integrity” of the Lehrmann inquiry.

Sofronoff's behaviour in consorting with a leading opinion columnist for the Murdoch press who had a personal and political interest in the Lehrmann criminal rape trial and subsequent defamation trials, including that initiated by Lehrmann's former employer Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds has, imho, all the hallmarks of a politically motivated conspiracy. It MUST be further investigated, preferably by a Royal Commission.

The question that remains unanswered is the motive for Sofonoffs corrupt behaviour and ongoing relationship with Janet Albrechtsen. As a highly experienced and formerly well regarded Kings Counsel he most definitely knew of the consequences for both him and the Public Inquiry he was in direction of if his behaviour and actions became public, as they subsequently did.

Wonder whether the delays in the findings of the WA libel matter have been held off until this was finalised?

This evidence is out in the public forum now with implied back room dealings between the movers and shakers; possibility that Reynolds has been found to have gone back for her scarf?
 
Surely no one seriously thought that Wally Sofronoff, Janet Albrechtsen and The Australian Newspaper were going to accept the findings of the Independent ACT Integrity Commission findings of serious corruption without dragging the whole think back through the courts did they?

The next time people hear about the lack of resourcing for the prosecution of serious criminal charges including rape and sexual assault in Australia I hope people now understand why.

Just for a moment imagine if as much money, time and effort was spent on the original ACT rape trial of Bruce Lehrmann as was spent and still being spent on subsequent legal action.

Meanwhile, almost 4 years after they are said to have occurred, another alleged victim of multiple rapes by Bruce Lehrmann is still awaiting for the criminal charges against him to be prosecuted in Toowoomba.

You said that Pell was guilty when the High Court laughed it out in 7 to diddly squat verdict based on the evidence presented in the lower courts.

Lets see what the Federal Court rules before you give your expert opinion on the matter.

Pell was found guilty by a jury, and a Royal Commission.

Those High Court deep state guys in wigs and frocks were taking the piss mate, you pell for it again.

evidence before the court couldn’t even pick the month that Pell committed the so called offences. Plus, other wild inconsistencies.
It doesn’t mean that he’s innocent but it definitely means that he’s Not Guilty!
