LOL if Sayers was "leaving no stone unturned" then why step down if cleared by the AFL......unless you know, he wasn't hacked (pro tip, he wasn't) and its just the AFL boys club giving him an out?

Call me 'old fashioned ', but anyone who stores away naked pictures of themselves on a internet connected device is a ****wit. Let alone someone holding a position of importance in society.
For Sayers to continue to remain president should only depend on the authenticity of the photo.

Have to take it at face value. He didn't post the image deliberately or accidentally. AFL would've investigated thoroughly with their findings.

Yes but unless he fesses up to that we're still at the hacker claim. No one can really disprove it whether they believe it or not and he'll have threats of legal action against anyone who challenges.

If I was betting, my money would be on a "please explain" followed by a finding of no wrongdoing, followed in turn by him stepping down for "personal and family reasons".

Club is still in a good spot financially, list wise and membership wise. As long as the club follow a thorough process to determine the next Pres we will come out the other side all good.

Sayers is clearly trying to imply in his statement that he wasn't hooking up with the Bupa lady, and that his family is an innocent party in this also. So he didnt do it, nor did the Mrs, and he wasn't even into Bupa lady anyway. Musta been the Russians i guess.

One thing is for certain, before this pathetic saga Sayers was a corrupt inveterate liar. After it, he is still a corrupt inveterate liar.

I now look forward to our no doubt next honourable President, the Chief of Goldman Sachs.

Likely a 'friendly' discussion with Sayers about bringing forward his retirement from the Presidency. Outcome likely a mutually agreed statement that makes no inference that his stepping down as President is due to the photo scandal. e.g. "Spending more time with family" or "More time to discover who is sullying his name". That sort of thing.
