We don't even have a set piece coach. Ange gets Jedinak to incorporate it in how we play.

That's the problem right there. Ange has instructed an inexperienced coach who has NFI what he's doing with setting us up at set pieces.

That forward group is insanely flaky as well.

Son has fallen off a cliff in form since he came back from Asian cup. Richarlison is OK depth for a top 4 club but the fact we want to start him should say it all. Timo has been recycled twice now in the PL for a reason.

Building the defence starts with the GK and as good as Vicario is in open play, the set piece defence is embarrassing for a club that wants to act like a "big 4" club.


Would have more eusccess navigating the minefield at Gallipoli than getting success with the current midfield group. Embarrassing how little depth and quality we have outside the starters we have.

N'Dombele, Rodon, Veliz, Spence, Reguillon is £100m just rotting away in value.

An probably lucky to get 50m combined for them all now.

Agree Vicario as a set piece goalkeeper has been horrible and the midfield is just shocking. Become too scared to play. Ange was furious at them, I like that. He did the same at Celtic.

Celtic's set pieces were notoriously bad. Part of that is the players because Celtic have a lot of 5 foot 9 ball players whereas the opposition sign 6 foot 3 cloggers but there was a coach training course in Scotland that Ange was a speaker at and he said he didn't even work set pieces at training :straining:

It's going to be his undoing at this level. At Celtic the approach of, she'll be right mate we will just score 4, can work. And it worked in Japan where they aren't a notoriously tall or physical league

In the PL not even City are good enough to accept being bullied at set pieces. And Pep has managed to adapt his approach to the point where he basically plays 4 CBs a game. Sure they're all elite ball playing centre backs. But they at times are like West Brom in Armani Suits at the back with 3-4 of Dias, Stones, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol on the pitch.

Not saying Ange has to go that far. But if he doesn't adapt he won't survive long in England

With the form everyone's in that team looks horrible. Kulu can't score or assist on the right, Johnson's crap on the left. Sons out of form, Bissouma and Bentancur have had bad seasons. Think this gets ugly tbh.
