I know its april 1

The movie of and from which was based on this event was terrifying and emotional at the same time when i first watched it in 1993. I mean, fancy being in a situation where you had to resort to cannibalism to stay alive. The mental anguish to come to this decision to survive. To stay alive. I think the movie was called "Eating people to live"

I was 9 when I saw a trailer for Alive at the video store - they had these screens showing trailers on repeat, and I just knew I had to see that movie. Not sure my mum was totally happy to start with but I would have been 9 or 10 when I first saw it and it's one of my all-time favourite movies - not because it's a top class movie, it's the story and how it's stuck with me

Best birthday present I've ever received was for my 18th - my brother sourced a first edition copy of the book, the dust cover has seen better days and can see the spine has had better days but it's a treasured possession

Val Kilmer, a homegrown Hollywood actor who tasted leading-man stardom as Jim Morrison and Batman, but whose protean gifts and elusive personality also made him a high-profile supporting player, died on Tuesday in Los Angeles. He was 65.

The cause was pneumonia, said his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. Mr. Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 and later recovered, she said.

5 winners

He is out of danger zone

Seems like there has been more big name/celeb deaths this year than for the last several years and we have only stated April.

Most of my female high school classmates has a crush on Val back in the day.

Really sad news
