Good crack at it, and you’ll be close to the pin. The firsts might take another small fwd instead of Phillips, but otherwise I wouldn’t be surprised to find something like your side is the R1 teamAt this stage, I figure it looks something like the below for round 1. Assuming they're all available except for CCJ and George, the AFL team looks much harder to beat and the VFL team looks potentially formidable at the level.

It’s a good sign that there is only 1-2 players named in that side that I don’t rate
North Melbourne
Team News:
Finally, some genuine competition for spots at North Melbourne.
Jack Darling, Luke Parker and Caleb Daniel all come in for some much needed experience across the ground.
The inclusion of Daniel specifically alleviates pressure off Colby McKercher and Harry Sheezel, freed up to play higher up the ground.
Zane Duursma now finds his spot under pressure, alongside Eddie Ford and Zac Fisher.
Best 22:
B: Aidan Corr, Griffin Logue, Luke McDonald
HB: Jackson Archer, Charlie Comben, Caleb Daniel
C: Colby McKercher, Harry Sheezel Bailey Scott
HF: Luke Parker, Nick Larkey, Jy Simpkin
F: Paul Curtis, Jack Darling, Cam Zurhaar
FOLL: Tristan Xerri, Luke Davies-Uniake, George Wardlaw
I/C: Tom Powell, Brynn Teakle, Finn O'Sullivan, Zane Duursma, Zac Fisher (sub)
Emerg: Eddie Ford, Josh Goater (injured)
The biggest take away from this for me is how experienced our back 7 is. There should be no excuse for us not be organised behind the ball in 2025 and if we can get the house in order behind the ball we could make very large gains.

Don’t think I like thatComben isn’t playing back.
There seems to be mail that he training with the forwards but i would have thought his position would remain unclear as he's spending most of his time in the rehab groupDon’t think I like that
Would’ve given him 2 more years back then switch him forward when darling retires
you are missing a player on the benchFB: Corr Logue Archer
HB: Daniel Chom McKercher
C: FOS Wardlaw Scott
HF: Curtis Darling Simpkin
FF: Parker Larkey Zurhaar
ON: Xerri LDU Sheezel
INT: Duursma, Goater, Powell, Ford (Sub)
This is what i would be hoping for, LMac needs to be squeezed out ASAP.
Leave the class at HB with skills in Daniel & Kerch would provide great rebound.
Parker, Wardlaw can rotate mid and fwd, great combo.
Thoughts?
Why wouldn't you like it?Don’t think I like that
Would’ve given him 2 more years back then switch him forward when darling retires
I don’t see either Dawson playing games next yearWhy wouldn't you like it?
We have Logue, Corr, KDawson and W Dawson developing back and We have Larkey, Darling and M Whitlock developing forward.
Ummm I wonder where he plays?
CHF.
I don’t see either Dawson playing games next year
I’ve got chom, Logue and Corr as the defenders
Larkey, darling and teakle (2nd ruck) forward
You're going to need a Comben in defence while you're developing the young talls. Most key forwards nowadays are 199cm+ and Logue and Corr aren't tall enough to go with them in the air. And he's a good intercept mark.Comben isn’t playing back.
