Worst squad finishes bottom. Can't say it isn't deserved given the bowling attack is practically grade standard. Choked about four winnable games because of it.

Yeah bowling is everything in t20s. 2 good batsmen and a gun bowling lineup will get you very far in this comp.

Thought Curran was injured and Webster would be on the kite to Sri Lanka.

Webster is still in the squad for tonight and they've added Curran who've they've said has overcome his calf injury

I was under the impression the players left today for Sri Lanka.

As a Gades fan I'm happy they didn't play, but seems weird that the Strikers had Carey, the Stars have Webster available but neither Usman or Marnus played for the Heat last night

That's one the of problems with the BBL/CA.

You just don't know who is available and who isn't until usually a few hours before the game.

Had the same last year.
Some of the Heat players were allowed to play where some other players weren't.
CA needs to be transparent.

Gades have signed Lyon for 3 seasons, he's yet to play a game and I doubt he will - the said no to the first game last season as it was too close to the start of the test summer but he was ok to run drinks

This year he bowled what's likely the least he's bowled in a 5 match test summer, and he was stopped from playing any matches

If CA is going to put a straight line through all test bowlers returning to the BBL after the tests are finished, they shouldn't permit teams to signs them as we've been able to - we potentially should also be able to rip up such contract and open the squad spot for someone who will be available to play
