Ashton Turner is just an absolute gem. Very smart cricketer.

Manipulates the dimensions of Perth Stadium really well.

At Perth Stadium in T20s he avgs 39.17 at a strike rate of 147. Everywhere else he avgs 22.80 at a strike rate of 138.

Also has a great record at the MCG (avg 60.50, strike rate 153) which has similar dimensions.

Definitely a power hitter or two short. Seeing Hobson followed by Agar at 6 and 7 is nightmare stuff, especially with garbage Pom internationals and a kid, who will be inconsistent, ahead of them.

Feel like we’re also missing the most quality to Aussie duty. Marsh and Inglis (and Hardie tonight) is far more T20 experience missing than anyone else.

Yea it just amazes me how much he gets talked up , then you have genuine young talent in CC with decent technique (still a bit to work on obviously, especially against spin but that’s understandable) and he barely rates a mention .

The tour of Sri Lanka is a year or two too soon for Connolly to be seriously considered but unless a decent left arm orthodox appears he looks likely to play plenty in the subcontinent

Hurst is young, cheap, available for the whole tournament, and here mostly as a backup. It's not that bad a decision, IMO.
