Is Shaun Marsh still on the Renegades roster? Imagine carrying both him and Finch.
It’s his normal innings. He just chews up deliveries at a run a ball, frequently missing the chance to put bad balls away.
They’ll post 180 here and it’ll be about 20 runs short. Regardless of McGurk’s brain fade in launching at his first ball (maybe a senior player like Finch could advise against that?), this will basically be because of Finch’s below average run rate on an absolute road of a pitch.

Sure, they only got 34 from the surge losing no wickets. I don’t know about you but that’s damn good. Finch could get 50 off 20 and you’d still complain.

Fair enough, 183 runs was made aswell though, it’s always going to be slower when runs are made. The umpires should have told the hurricanes they could only have 4 out at the start of the over and there would have been no problem.

You shouldn’t be near the cutoff the allowed time is VERY generous. Problem is captains dawdle in the first 6-8 overs and wonder why they are behind.

Finch was 13 off 4 in the surge. So therefore 18 off 24 for the rest of his innings.
If you think that’s acceptable in 20/20 on a road in Tassie then fair enough.
Personally, I think his inept batting in this comp continually puts his team behind the eight ball. He was a great batter in this form of the game, now he’s way off the standard to bat in the middle order.

The canes have shown a penchant for collapsing as well, so this game is still up for grabs. But otherwise it’s tricky to see where the Melbourne teams win many games outside of playing each other.
