LOL, sticks and stones ...
Nah, I am just another Crows supporter who can see the glaringly obvious, namely that the Crouches and Laird were NOT our best players today.
I guess thats what makes you a biased keyboard warrior

If you had any credibility you may actually matter but i guess you don't

good by foot
I agree with the rest of your summary :thumbsu: and other posters have praised him, too; he's quick, looks to run and evade and take the game on; finds the ball really well but I thought his kicking today was ordinary --- either to a pack down the line, or to an oppo player, or ootf.

No thanks, would prefer to have even Tex in as a KPF over old Cement Hands. At least Tex can bring some natural forward smarts
Why not give Jordan Butts a crack up forward? Played quite a bit up forward for the Bushies and can take a grab.

He's a genuine swingman and has the tank for repeat leads unlike Tex these days and the Berg.
Puzzling why Butts hasn't been given a taste of AFL as he's surely deserved it with his form in the SANFL last year.

He was woeful. Absolutely not going to make it. I’m sure hopeful you are being sarcastic.

Sorely you're kidding. Tex is done, EH is a bust, Fogarty still learning and Frampton very average. Rily Thilthorpe has to be our 1st pick. Then you have Edwards, Borlase and Newchurch to come in from F/S and the NGA. Leaving top picks for the mids of your choice with the rest. Trade Brad Crouch and Rory Laird. Might get somewhere then.

Frampton Jeezus!

He was fine enough that we shouldn't be spaffing our single digit picks on yet more "he was the best available at our pick" KPP players, when the clear and obvious need is midfield. No one cares how great your young KPP prospects are when you have a shit tier midfield who can't deliver the ball forward to them, or can't protect them from unfettered ball into their men in defence.

Recent history has shown that having an all time great KPF in your side is as important to winning a premiership as having an all time great ruckman - Josh Kennedy in 2018 and Franklin in 2013 the only ones last decade, for one each.

Yeah I’d be happy with that, very confusing why Butts hasn’t got a game yet. Thought he might’ve come in instead of Hartigan once McAsey needed a rest

Our list is sh*t and they are the best on it

Says a bit doesnt it

Not playing those players that are highest paid and got us to a GF may look like tanking

backline is good. I wouldnt call smith, brown, talia (coming to the end) etc shit. mcasey and hamill have the talent. walker is finished. fog has talent. we need the best forward we can get in the draft to support him. I dont think himmelberg and frampton are afl standard. jones and mchenry have a future. so does schoenberg. our biggest problem is the midfield. the crouch bros arent working.

Need a class KPF. Look how the King twins have straightened up their respective sides.

Is Stengle back yet?

Because Murphy...

Playing Tex at the moment is just tarnishing his legacy. For whatever reason he has lost all pace, so can’t get out on a clear lead, and he can’t chase. He bends over like a 60 year old when the ball is at his feet. He has developed a one-arm marking attempt into a habit he just can’t break. He may have a beautiful kick still, but we don’t get to see it because he can’t get the ball.
After the long layoff, I hoped he might come back looking a bit fitter, and with some agility, but sadly this has not happened.
i hope the club can find a way to transition him out that lets him leave with some respect - he deserves that.

The one thing though that is really damning, you do not see any player from us above the age of 23 shepherd. You'll see Jones, Hamill, Ned do it.
There was a classic example of this on the hear side when Kelly just needed to shepherd to let Murphy get free, instead he sweated off for the cheap give and Murphy got caught.

It's a combination of footy awareness and playing for your own spot.
