Think you may have that wrong as it was reported where Schofield attended the press conference when McQualter was declared the new coach - so would presume Schofield left a day or so after to go overseas for his break.

Possibly - Mini himself said he hadn't had a chance to chat with Schoey since getting the nod because he was out of the Country.

In any case my point was there's been no word on whether Schoey will stay on because the two haven't really had a chance to catch up.

Yep, he has great relationships with the current players and in-depth knowledge about them that an entirely new batch of coaches don't yet have. Really important retention here.
