I miss pubs with yellow ceilings where your feet stick to the carpet.
The Tote may in fact be the last bastion.

EDIT: The Footscray Hotel is frozen in time. No shit. You walk into that pub and you physically travel back to the 1980s. Barman accepts plastic money of course, but it wouldn't surprise me if he accepted these

I definitely remember girls like you. 20 bucks was all you needed when there were dollar pots and what was it? Five dollar spirits?
The women werent paying for their drinks anyway or of they did they were the ones that got sipped on until the next sucker bloke offered to buy

When they were here in 2023 this tune was epic, the whole crowd shouting the lyrics, Dave barely "sang" any of it

Yeah it's a super-fun song. Probably the funnest song I've ever heard live. Most brutal is of course Post Mortem/Raining Death by Slayer And Angel of Death of course. I wouldn't survive the pit now with my dodgy kneecaps (lil bastards wanna pop out when I'm jumpin' and pushin') but man, mosh pits used to be FUN!

Singalongs suit me best these days :D

I think that song has Dave's best vocals, he's not a good singer but he's good at that snarly barking sort of vox.

And yeah I avoid the pit these days as well, as you'd know at metal gigs if you want to circle pit you can but if not always plenty of room outside of the pit to chill and bop along.

Never went to BDO but was extremely tempted about 10 years or so ago when Rammstein came. They are in my top 5 all time fave bands and I am spewing I opted against it.

I never missed a Soundwave, though, from the time I was 18 until it was cancelled.

Hey I didn't even get a reply to my offer
F*ck, sorry Shell! I won't be down for Easter Monday this year unfortunately. I'll be down in June though! Gonna see a metal band with the_interloper! Wanna come? Bullet belts are optional!

I saw em at 2007 BDO, it was nuts, really thought the crowd was gonna lose it.
I went to the first BDO here in 93 which was held on the grounds of Adelaide Uni and I missed seeing Disposable Heroes, Sonic Youth and Iggy Pop because my boyfriend at the time had a bad trip. I still guilt trip him about it today when I run into him.

1993 Big Day Out tour featured Nirvana didn't it?
