The consistently poor quality of our long term North players is remarkable. Rhetorical question: did Zurhaar and Larkey have a big cooking night in recent days? The former looked a bit red and bloated. The latter totally off his game. Curious?

As for Simpkin annd McDonald and LDU nothing unusual at all in those mediocre efforts. Happens virtually every week.

Sheezel was excellent. The driving force along with Wardlaw and Parker. Jackson Archer excellent and Hardeman pretty good too.

The Rioli block on Charlie with the game on the line was just as laughable as the stupid decision from Simpkin not to handball over his head to 3 naked north players on the HFF that would’ve lead to a goal- both late in the game.

That was our Melbourne game from 2024, (like Melbourne) Port lets us right back in the game to pinch it from them, but our loser mentality kicked in again.

A much improved performance compared to the last three games, but the result is still the same.

Need to find a way to fix up our first quarters, we have lost all 7 and at an average of around 3 goals. We then spend the rest of the match battling our way back into the game.

There was a lot of good ball movement over the course of the match, but just about every one was halted by a poor disposal or poor decision. We cost ourselves a real chance of a win today.

Simpkin adds an extra man on the field for the opposition and negates one of our players so its always 19 men v 17.

McDonald as solid as he is been this year is a smiling blubbering fool. Just go away.

Daniels is dogshit and this is looking like a real bad trade something we above all cant afford. Still want to give him time and space can open up play if he has a backline to work with.

Larkey gets a pass. ****ed up but has credits.
