• (7) N. Djokovic (SRB) vs. (3) C. Alcaraz (ESP)

Sigh. The "match of the day" is the last of the night session, probably starting around 8:30 and finishing late. This is one of those times when you put on a doubles match 2nd. Tennis can be so silly sometimes.

Gauff vs. Badosa
Gauff easy (2 sets).

Paul vs. Zverev
I didn’t even know Zverev was still around with how uneventful his run has been. Paul had a nice easy one last match. You know, I am going for Paul in a tight one (5 sets).

Sabalenka vs. Pavlyuchenkova
Sab easy (2 sets).

Djokovic vs. Alcaraz
Carlos in 5. An angry Novak is a dangerous Novak. He will act like it is him against the world, especially if the crowd is not engaged. Still, Carlos just in a quarter-final epic.

Novak in straight sets for me.

Odds are wrong on this one imo. Night match puts Djokovic as the favourite. Tony Jones enraging him makes him unstoppable imo.

Machac and Lehecka are not in the same class as Alcaraz. Not by a long shot. You're dreaming if you think Novak will win in straight sets.
