Around the time of Brett Kirk's infamous 'Thanks Basil' monologue in 2012, I created a Big Footy account. Because just like you I care. Just like you, I'm passionate about the game. I wanted to come along for the ride, join you on a Saturday arvo, because I just love the footy. I made a few comments but, much like my first attempt at a uni degree at La Trobe or the beer stand at Cramer St, I neglected my account.
Now, just hours ahead of the Swans v Port preliminary final, I decided to get back into the ring. It's been bloody great to connect with people about our mutual love of footy and to share stories about the time I chased Paul Roos for a photo as a shy, awkward teenager, or when I met Warwick at a local cricket function.
Hopefully, this comeback is better than Plugger's in 2002.
