As a Crow fan, how will YOU handle it if Port Power win the Flag this year?

Port's problems are not with the coach or list, but with Koch and Davies and their refusal to rebuild. Both have come out in recent years arrogantly calling any club rebuilding as excusing failure. You cannot have a proper tilt for the premiership without either getting a healthy leg-up through NGA or father-sons, or going through a rebuild.

Port will again try to find the missing piece and grab depth players from other clubs. They can't all be Aliir's who they turned into an AA KPD. All their draft picks can't be Rozee or Butters either. Port have done a few things right, but many things wrong. Unfortunately for them, they are now stuck with some genuine stars, but rubbish outside of that so they may just waste those stars' careers.
Port literally can't afford to rebuild. They've built a business model by successfully selling a story of fake history and claimed success. This is abundantly clear by their quiet change in logo after the 150 years celebration (was originally supposed to be for one year), prison bar campaign and even little things like moving the teal off their coaches and players apparel so they're majority black and white. As a result such their fans are blind to reality and have inflated expectations of a premiership each year regardless of list quality because they have The Creed/36 Premierships in their head from their very successful marketing campaign. Credit where credits due - their memberships are up and it's worked!

A rebuild totally undermines this mentality of success that they've sold their supporter base and attendances / memberships would drop right off if they had a sustained period out of the 8 from a rebuild. They've made a prelim 3 out of the last 5 years and people are still threatening to tear up their memberships!

Agree 100%

When Hinkley goes, it sounds like Carr has the gig because they want more of the same. Which is the absolute last thing they need.

They would be better off getting someone new in and sweeping the decks and bottoming out a couple years to restock through the draft.

From a business point of view I totally get it - clubs need/want to make money. With their supporter base they've worked out that the best way to do so with the business model they have is to sell hope. From memory their financials haven't been great over the last decade (although better than the tarps era) so a long rebuild could spell pretty nasty financial issues as well.

If you look at clubs with bigger fanbases like WCE / AFC, they can afford to sustain a rebuild for longer - our average attendance was 4k higher than Port's this year and we finished bottom 4 and are 7 years into hell. Just hope it pays off...

Which one is it? Too injured to play or fine?
Copped an injury during the game and was subbed.

1 week on was deemed fit enough to play but still carrying the effects of the injury.

It’s not that hard.

But clearly you’ve confirmed you’re just one of those anti Port posters with no sense of logic

Interesting. Maybe you should take your argument to the Port board where there are plenty that don't agree with you. But yes anti Port etc etc.
