Thank you to all Australian and our cousins in New Zealand for all your sacrifices. We owe so much gratitude to you and your families. Respect.

Should be an interesting game and look forward to going with a few mates who are saints supporters (also first found picks as drinkers). Plus round 1 today for my son u12s and I am coaching. Not sure which game I am more nervous about.

Port by 23. Motlop 3. Wines BOG. Good luck Frederick on this big night...

Port Power to beat St Saints by 42pts
Boak to win the Babcock
Charlie to kick 2.4
Mitch to kick 4.1
Houston to be subbed off 3rd quarter

If ever there was a day to go into a game without complacency, it's Anzac Day. I'm wary of the Saints - we've already seen several times this year that teams have lost when they're even a few percent off their best. Hit 'em hard early Port, and crush them. Port by 43.

Bought my missus a membership for the first time this year as an excuse to have more family outings rather than just me leaving her to go to the game with my parents. First two games she managed to avoid but she has no excuse today!

When the schedule first came out I knew we'd have to be at least 5-2 after the first 7 games in order to contend. I had pencilled Brisbane away as a loss and thought we'd split the games between West Coast and Richmond. To me it makes tonight's game a must win because I'm still dubious we can beat Brisbane at the Gabba next week.

St Kilda smashed us in the midfield last year but that was Marshall and Ryder going up against Ladhams - not exactly a fair fight. I'm confident we won't see similar results with Lycett in the ruck.

Should be perfect conditions tonight. Time to honour the Anzacs and particularly those who represented our great club as well, with a win.

to be a real contender we need to win a few Brisbane type games

I dont think we need to beat them next week to stamp ourselves as contenders. Need to win tonight obviously, but we have shown that our style stacks up in finals. Next week's game vs Brisbane would look so much different to a game vs them in the finals, particularly given the amount of personnel changes due to injuries and what not.

Bring it home on my birthday fellas. I think the last time I attended a game on ANZAC Day was against Hawthorn back in 2015 when we kicked 8 goals to 1 in the first quarter. A repeat of that would be a decent present boys!

Football is the winner today because the men who fought for you and me, so lets enjoy the day and most of all lets hope we enjoy a win, who ever wins.

One would assume Port by plenty?
