Correct

Anyone who changes their club must be viewed as having nil integrity

I'm going to call an exception on this... Tasmania has already kind of become my primary AFL team, and having grown up there for 25 years I think that's an acceptable changing of teams.

Cool. So you'd be totally fine with a pro-abortion gay lobbyist being the principal of a Catholic school, I take it?
Have you listened to Thorburn? He said he doesn’t necessarily agree with all the teachings of the church just like most Catholics don’t either.

Otherwise, every Catholic should resign from their positions in the AFL as the teachings state no abortion and homosexuality is not accepted.

i dont really care if you want to have a crack at him because of what came about following the royal commission. That's reasonably fair game.

Saying the bloke should be sacked, based on his personal views of a church he goes too, when he openly says he does not agree with all of them is just about being woke.

How you goin buddy? You ok ?

Are we now vetting peoples religious views for thier suitability for a role ?
I don't think anyone would care if he held these views, but as a senior member of an organisation that actively promotes these views, that's an issue, clearly.

A Tigers fan lecturing other people about reality.

This really is the end of days.
You're in no position to lecture others on 'reality' when you invoke fictitious spaghetti monsters

I don't get why people are so hell bent on trying to control other people's lives.

I have zero interest in who is homosexual or not. I also couldn't give a shit if they pray to God or not.

It's simply not my business.

This now ex CEO probably has darker secrets than majority of the public. I wonder if God actually likes him representing the church?

2. Feminism and gay rights being championed at the same time as trans rights (eventually the ideologies that protect single-sex spaces and same-sex attraction will collide headfirst with an ideology that insists gender identity is more important than biological sex).

Albanese won by explicitly opposing wokeness. Because as an intelligent politician he knows where the real middle of the Australian public is and he's smart enough to not have his world view dictated by whatever trends on twitter. But many journalists and business people don't know anything about the world outside their echo chamber cocoons.

You need to stop watching Sky news and join us in the real world.

I don't even know where to begin with this mental gymnastics that draws completely bullshit inferences from unrelated information.

The irony of you talking about echo chambers while parroting sky after dark is out there though.

David Barham cannot possibly continue as President.

This was the most incompetant signing you could possibly imagine. In the most important position in the Organisation. At the most critical time in the Club's history.

Just diabolical stuff how he could officially appoint a CEO who can't last 24 hours for the most obvious reasons imaginable.

Be gone Barham. You can't recover from this. A laughing stock.
Most critical time in clubs history?

Plenty of money, plenty of cap space, young list and we have been worst run club in 20 years so couple of good decisions going forward and we will be fine.

Just need to get rid of Sheedy and dodo.

Ceo Chose to stand down from ceo rather than church role speaks volumes of where priorities and values lie.

Good on him for sticking by that but ultimately right decision to resign.

He was in role for a day, the fact already gone is embarrassing but ultimately has no long lasting impact.

Maybe miss some recruits but who was coming to ess anyway this year.

Cool. So you'd be totally fine with a pro-abortion gay lobbyist being the principal of a Catholic school, I take it?
What an ignorant comment. Essendon football club is not a church or a religion. It's a football club / corporate organisation that is meant to include and accept all walks of life. Thorburn wasn't enforcing his beliefs or views on anyone at the club but is being vilified for following a religion.
