Nah, can't accept the "he signed a contract argument", it's weak.

Extending the contract for injury time, yeah I get it, I hated it when wwe did it also, but there's absolutely no reason to exercise the full option and tack on over a year.
And then to tell them they have no plans to actually use you at the time or in the future. And it was only done when dirt sheets started rumours that wwe was interested. They only even considered leaving because they were told there were no creative plans for them. It's so Petty to then extend him.

Khan has taken it a step further than wwe ever did though and is impacting Fenix ability to earn income - on the day his brother debuted they pulled all of Fenix merchandise off the AEW store. AEW merch is print to order, so you can't claim it ran out and they didn't want to spend money getting more. That is next level gross.

Corbin has posted supporting khan (guess he wants a job) saying you honour contracts and if he wasn't paid during injury time than he would see an argument for the release. But thats flawed thinking. Every other professional sport doesn't have or extremely rarely uses injury time extensions. And every sport still pays their employees when injured, even though they can't use them.

Tony Khan has signed these people because he wants to use them.
He doesn't though. That's the problem. The whole reason luchs bros considered leaving was he specifically told them he had nothing for them

If Tony should be hard on anything, he needs to tap Jericho on the shoulder. Way too much time allocated when they have a tonne of talent far more capable.

Having Remsburg didn't help, but that finish to the Dax match on Collision the other week was horrible. That's not counting his continued sharp decline of general in ring work.
If/When the "AEW From Wild Fan Enthusiasm To Who Cares" tell-all documentary series happens Chris Jericho never getting moved on despite being awful in and out of the ring is going to be a whole episode

Hold up? People are really defending Khan here? I would accept the extended contract if he planned to use him. But he is simply forcing this guy to lose a year of his career out of pettiness. This injury time didn't get added on til it was clear he was out the door. That is ****ed up no matter who is doing it.
we don't know that for certain, but it's a logical assumption to make.

Not true. Fenix is still being paid under his contract, and he is free to take bookings outside of AEW, as long as they are not with WWE.

Who says they stopped paying him while injured?

I never said he wasn't being paid while injured, you made that up. In fact my comment on what Corbin said specifically addresses him being paid while injured.
I said them pulling his merch impacts on his ability to earn, and removing his merch from the store is unlikely to be a coincidence. They'd know what they're doing.
Also Bookings outside AEW have to be ticked off by... you guessed it, Tony Khan!

You're right, its an assumption so not 100% solid. I should have mentioned the pulling of merch as mentioned above. That one is the most petty of all.

it would be more petty if he was a main event guy. depending on exchange rates, he could possibly earn more in merch outside of AEW (currently)?

Na. Clearly carrying baggage and not solid in ring or on the mic. Neither is Jade, but at least she has a far better attitude.

Considering they brought Tessa back TNA and Grace is out the door, they might pick her up if she still wants to wrestle.

Pretty pathetic from all involved to be honest. Sounds like DBB drinks her own bath water. Understand having a job outside of wrestling that's important, but you can't expect the same kind of opportunities, and can't treat the locker room poorly.
On Khan, "Just don't get phone calls and don't get called to show up" is a pretty poor attitude as well. Strikes me that it seems when he loses interest in a toy, it goes back in the toybox and he ignores it.

I could see her going to a GCW or TNA, far more part time schedules, and TNA has already shown they're willing to bring toxic people into their roster and deal with the ramifications if they have talent.

Don't know or seen enough of Baker to make any judgement on the story or Fenix to but it comes across like the wheels are falling off a little bit with talent. A couple of years ago AEW was the place to go if you wanted enjoyment and freedom and now whether there is truth to it or not seems to be a lot of leaks about this sort of behaviour or attitudes.

I had never seen Penta anywhere outside of AEW and thought they were a fantastic tag team but WWE in just 15 minutes of his debut made him look and feel like a superstar which I felt he never came across that way in AEW.

One of the main problems I see with AEW is its presentation of talent, "Cope" is a world class superstar and on AEW I just don't see that or feel it with him. I don't think anyone could see the rise of Cody when he jumped ship but again they've presented him like a mega star. Ethan Page was just a number in AEW and then at NXT he was instantly presented like a top star for that show, I look at the flip side and can the same be said for Adam Cole? The debut was great but the follow up has been lack luster but how much of that is on Cole himself and not AEW?

Omega, Page, Osprey some of the best wrestlers on the planet but still I don't think the presentation portrays that superstar feel. They wonder why they struggling for ticket sales in Aus. You need to be able to get the casual fans or even non wrestling fans to tune in. You can have all the 5 star matches you want but wrestling has ultimately always been about the story between face and heel and you need to get people to invest in the characters for people to believe in what they are getting sold.

MJF is as close as they have some to portraying someone like that but in recent times it's pretty flat. Swerve is another who you can say they have smashed the ceiling with. I just feel like they have the wrestling part of this nailed but they just lack polish in the presentation or ability to turn some of this talent into superstars that you have to tune in for.
