Cope needs to only be a nickname. Like when people call Jon Moxley “Mox”.Also, COPE is absolutely not going to get over, it sucks so bad.
I know they have too many Adams at the top of the card, but JFC, even Copeland would've worked better. Or ask WWE the question what the trademark would cost, TK pays money for all sorts of dumb shit like licensed music to start the show.
They mentioned that they were coming to Australia. That was it, they didn't say anything about the show.
And the spot on the tron where they advertise the next big show had AEW Revolution.
This might not even be a Max special, it might be a ****ing house show.
TK really saying **** you to 12000 fans who bought tickets because 40,000 didn't.
Yeah, that's fair. I think they sort this out pretty quick. Copeland doesn't need a trademark that desperately.Cope needs to only be a nickname. Like when people call Jon Moxley “Mox”.
Justin Roberts yelling out Cope just sounded weird.
Yeah, I agree. Doesn't work for me.That theme song is straight garbage for a wrestling intro. It feels more like a song for a TV commercial selling some lame product.
Like I’m seeing pictures of Bobby Lashley, Samoa Joe and Mox and that song is on it just doesn’t fit or suit but that’s just my take.
Ah, there's always so much bad faith discussion around AEW - like saying they were ruining Ricochet, when he's more interesting than he's ever been.At some point they're going to have to acknowledge the existence of this Grand Slam event and book some matches.
Not sure saying simply "we're going to be in Australia" - for the first time on Dynamite since September - among all the other future show locations is going to cut it.
Why so grumpy?

I think they'll announce matches a couple of weeks out. They're not going to talk much about it to their US audiences, as they can't sell them a ticket.
The main reason it would be good to know is just to understand who'll be performing - there's a few talents that it's been a real dream to see live - Ospreay, Omega, MJF, etc. Just give me a couple of them ...
Agree 100000% with you there, you have spent hard earned money and you want to know what your seeing. You don't want to spend 2K on a glorified house show.Well, don't be shitty with me for stupid comments that someone else said, that's ridiculous.
And when I've spent over $2k on this weekend already, I'm not being unreasonable in wanting something, anything announced, and the suggestion that it's "bad faith discussion" is bullshit.
They haven't announced anyone as appearing yet have they? At least with Elim Chamber in Perth people knew they were getting Rhea and they knew they were getting 2 x chamber matches. Obviously they missed out with Punk getting injured and it was flat that Seth and Cody didn't wrestle.Ah, there's always so much bad faith discussion around AEW - like saying they were ruining Ricochet, when he's more interesting than he's ever been.

That would be god awful.Would you be happy to spend 2k plus to watch Jeff Jarrett in a world title match as suggested before?
Yep you bring over your best. There’ll be a lot of casual WWE fans going (I’m going with 2) whose exposure of AEW consists of the anti WWE pages on social media. If they’re going to an event headlined by fn Jeff Jarrett then they’ll never watch the product again.AEW's target demo and appeal has always been for the 24/7 hardcore fans, so matches not being announced a month and a bit out isn't an issue, but if they put out a weak card though - that would be disappointing for a new market that they may visit once a year possibly not again. I never understood the idea to go with Suncorp though.
I agree with that. You guys are overreacting. This is AEW. Mox, Hangman, Jay White, Orange, FTR and the Acclaimed will all be there. The matches will great and everyone will get a great show.
Maybe Cope, MJF and Kenny stay home because it isn’t the big event they predicted, but AEW can’t fit everyone on one show anyway.
It’s not like Dark Order will be second from the top. And if Dark Order are there they will be in the opener and have an entertaining match in that spot.
Who has ever suggested that Jeff Jarrett Ina title match would headline Brisbane??Agree 100000% with you there, you have spent hard earned money and you want to know what your seeing. You don't want to spend 2K on a glorified house show.

Why do they have to announce matches? The people that want to see AEW are doing it because it's maybe a once in a lifetime chance - it's not because they want to see Mox, but won't come if it's Jay White instead.Announcing matches for shows or PPV's in the States is fine but your talking about a new market, they don't even have to announce exact matches they could just state " Appearances by Mox, MJF, Young Bucks, Okada, Darby Allin and more.
Booking suncorp it comes across like they saw the turn out for Elim Chamber in Perth and though wrestling fans will turn out for it....
