There’s about 8 pages on the saints board that apparently they are in talks with us about acquiring our pick 9 for their F1 and 27 for kako/points

Id imagine we would try to trade up first. Feels more like a dream on their side but they are running with it lol

yeah nah

I would rather use #9 on Kako and our 2nd on a project player than reciprocate the unjustifiable arrogance of those grubby tossers with a third pick in the top 10

Dan Houston has a great manager. Perryman not so much.

Not that I expect AFL media to have a clue but isn't Perryman one of the best kicks in the AFL?

Yeah personally I was more disappointed we didn't throw our hat in ring for perryman /Cumming more than Houston.
Houston has a great kick, but there's a reason port got torn to shred by small forwards, all their small defenders were not much chop once the ball hit the deck.
Perryman has a good kick to but is also a workhorse when it comes to defensive side of game.

I mean he's a good kick but nothing remarkable.

Harry Sharp Brisbane is a great runner, may even make Finn Maginness look silly

He wants out, probably a good option for us

Finn Maginness
Seamus Mitchell
Sam Butler
Conor Stone
Prior
Harry Sharp
Dev Robertson

There probably our reasonable type options now

Turn the huge dollars towards FA next year

Rayner
Ed Richards
LDU
Fogarty
Starcevich
ROB

Hardly seems to waste a possession for what I can tell. But, on reflection, I probably agree, very good user without the capacity for the remarkable.

I don't see the gap between Houston and Perryman being much, if anything at all.

It's really just the way that Houston has become this player that everyone must trade out of the first round of this years draft for reeks of a manager being in ear of the a number of journalists.

If commentators like Houston that much why are they offended that Perryman netted first round comp? The guy has been a mainstay of the GWS powerhouse squad since he turned 20. Apparently the Pies want to make him the man in the middle. With those hips, his kick and his natural read/feel for the game I'm backing him to become a star, Mundy like in the middle.

Combo of Houston being from a footy state and also alot of the media being obsessed with attacking back men regardless of how well they defend. Remember champion data's player ranking earlier in year when they had Bailey Dale at number 3 because of his "impact"? He had been dropped/made sub a couple of times in the lead up to the publication of the rankings.

Happy for this to be a nice and simple trade period where we consolidate different areas of the field.

Trade 1: Stringer and a future 3rd to GWS for Connor Stone, #37 and #53

Trade 2: Future 4th to Brisbane for Jaxon Prior

Main draft: Use #9 to draft Tobie Travaglia and then picks #31, #37 and #53 to get Kako. Upgrade Menzie with our last pick.

Rookie Draft: Use one pick to draft a project KPF.

Re-sign: Setterfield and Weideman as depth for one more year on the main list. J Davey gets moved to the rookie list for one more chance.

Gives us a bunch of good runners off the back flank in Stone, Prior and Travaglia along with a livewire forward in Kako.
