I’m assuming his parents were overseas four weeks before he was born

So had he been born overseas then his son would qualify for NGA

Mind you I didn’t think women that close to term in their pregnancy were allowed to fly (might not have been a rule back then)

Correct, if the family had remained overseas, he’d classify.

Ultimately the AFL is to blame for this mess.

If they had fixed this issue 10 years ago and had teams paying appropriately for academy/f+s then it wouldn't be anything like the disaster it is now.

The new bidding system is a huge step in the right direction but it isn't going to stop the complaining, because the AFL have allowed the resentment to fester for so long.

Whether anyone has the guts to admit it or not, the 2025 AFL draft will be the worst of all time. As a Eagless fan its a shame that the scraps we will have left to pickup are what they are. Im inclined to trading pick 1 away for say Ned Moyle and Alex Davies from Gold Coast at this rate.
