I mentioned in the round one thread how bookies continue to class Geelong as outsiders against Hawthorn, and it's crazy. This time could be different, so I'm steering clear of this game. Chapman said he would never lose to Hawthorn again while he's playing. Well, he's not playing, and neither is Stevie J. If Hawthorn is ever going to get them (apart from a knockout final), it's this week.

Carl 1.80 COll 1.93
GWS 4.25 WB 1.19
NM 2.65 Rich 1.43
Bris 1.48 GC 2.50
Geel 2.10 Haw 1.72
Ade 2.10 WCE 1.66
Mel 11 Syd 1.02
Fre 1.04 Stk 9

Ess 1.25 PA 3.60

Week off for me, I like nothing.

I don't mind Gold Coast or Adelaide at those odds. I consider those two games a lot closer to 50/50 (I actually like Adelaide to win, probably 55%).

North Melbourne @ etihad v tigers
Port v essendon

2 standouts for me. Wait for Lines

Don't mind odds for North, Gold Coast and Adelaide. Little value in anything else.

FWIW I think Hawks will (finally) win this week.

Don't mind odds for North

Reasoning?

I'm not putting my case forward for Richmond, just bemuses me how anyone could think about putting their hard earned on a team that's 5-8 against a team that's 9-4...

North play etihad better then Richmond
Who have Richmond beat ??? Saints , bulldogs , Adelaide , west coast ???
Their last test V essendon they were well beaten!!!
So 2.65 for me is great odds ...

Essendon v port
Even when port were a disgrace they gave essendon a Run and beat them at etihad last 2 meetings there ??
Essendon are prone to losing to a so called easy beat ala Brisbane this year .. Struggled v GWS @ etihad ...
3.60 is great value

Will be interested to see lines come out .

IF carazzo n Murphy back for Carlton then I think they will beat Collingwood. Agree norths line around 10-13pts is value. This will be a close game. Won't be a blow out. A lot of close games this week

Did anyone see how rooted Essendon players were at the end of last week's game? Jobe could hardly walk. They can't get on the juice to help their recovery either.

Surely Port are great value against a team who struggled to get over the top of an average at best Eagles outfit missing two of their best players.

Johnson didn't play round 1 either. They are missing Birchall, Rioli, Shoenclangers & Guerra from R1 maybe Bailey as well. Highlighted has been said every game in the last few years, until they beat Geelong I don't see how you could back them. At the odds you can't back Geelong either.

I still refuse to see what i'm believing with Port :D Will be interested at $4.00 though. I think I said that a lot about Sydney last year too

I think North are a better team then their record suggests (despite the lols I get from losing the close ones). Pushed some really good sides this year that are better than Richmond and have confidence from last week.

I also think Richmond are overrated a tad and are likely to drop some of the games they should win. They are about the same level as North IMO but an easier draw plus winning a few ones that North should have won have them rated more than they should be.

Probably not a game I'll be taking h2h at this stage, but will be keeping an eye on the line and a few similar bets later in the week.

If Lindsey Thomas goes for that head butt I can't see North being enough of a threat forward to worry Richmond.

Crows and eagles odds have already swapped. 2.10 eagles now, market seems correct now. Unsure what the deal with the opening price was, hope anyone not banned with sportsbet got on crows!

Was just about to and was like, what the heck? Oh well.

Value gone for Crows :(

What does everything think of Port? How you beat Sydney and Collingwood then go to being a $4 underdog is beyond me.

Thomas gets 2 weeks for headbutt ...hopefully Roos around $3 now ...

Port @ $4 is a good bet ... Think there will b $$ for essendon ..mayb port get out abit more?..

sportsbet offer on the carlton collingwood and the hawks geelong game is sensational!!
i think carlton are good things and will back geelong to beat hawks!! also i think richmond and brisbane are good things!

Geelong have a couple milestone games (depending on final list) and they usually play on another level when celebrating a milestone, plus Hawthorn are going for a club record wins in a row which will put some nerves in them since they have to beat the Cats to do it.

Sportsbet will refund H2H if the game is under 20 points so with that in mind i'll stick with Geelong.
