I like it, especially that forward line. :D

I might get drilled for this one but i do not rate R.O'Keefe as a GUN.
He is consistent but he is not captain material and can go cold a lot during games.

I have three things to say about your team though:
1) YOU NEED DEPTH IN YOUR BACKLINE.
2) I can not believe that you do not have C.Cornes or A.McPhee in your backs at the moment. Solid backs are hard to come by and they are arguably the 'best' two players to have in that position (except T.Lockyer of course).
3) Your rucks need some work. I have the same two players as you though.

1)Yeah i know i need some depth in my backline, i have had the same back ressies all year. Been very lucky in that regard.

2) Could have traded in McPhee tonight but went for Milburn, really didnt want another player that has 45,000 popularity. No big deal.

3) I am just waiting for Simmonds to come back, wait a few weeks and then hopefully do a straight Hudson to Simmonds trade.

Cheers for the comments.

do you think its necessary to have 3 playing ruckmen as right now i have cox hudson and griffen but am thinking of downgrading griffin for money so next week i can trade nablett for chapman, what do you think??btw my other ruckmen wont play, like sam jacobs or somthing

It is 'very' important.
Having depth in all sections is so, so important.
I have told you this many times.
Unfortunately, my depth is ****-like at the moment.

If you want to go through with the downgrade though, pick up R.Warnock because he is a good chance of breaking into the side.

is he freos second ruck, i saw he has played 2 games but why only 2?and he on extended bench this week so will he play?

Why on earth did you pick up W.Hamill from the start when the likes of T.Boyle, X.Ellis and J.Smith were on the market at a similar price?

The only reason i can think of was to save money?
You must have been desperate?

D.Milburn is a great pick though.
I have him in my team as well. :D

R.Warnock and M.Johnson are sharing the ruck duties with A.Sandilands because J.Longmuir is out for the season.
I can nearly guarantee you that he will come back into the side in the very near future.
I would be suprised if he came back into the team this week though.
I mean, look at their oppostion...Richmond.
They lack talls as it is so there is no point bringing in R.Warnock.

I think it is good to distinguish one's team from the pack by choosing player(s) that aren't massively over subscribed, so like theone said kudos for choosing the likes of Green and Richo.

Hahaha yeah i couldnt afford anyone else other than Hamill! He looked a pretty good player in the NAB cup, didnt realise he was a rookie listed player. Much happier with Milburn than McPhee, most teams in my league have McPhee but only 1 has Milburn.

Pretty happy with my team and its different enough to make it interesting.

Evening all, changing the topic a bit but what does everyone think of Kosi? Starting to make a push to be included in the best 22 each week, even though I bought him primarily as a money maker he's getting better and better. This has probably been covered but got him at the start of the year? Whos still got him? Will you keep him all year. I see no reason to get rid of him the way he going atm.

Im keeping him for the rest of the year. Dont see the need to upgrade him. If you dont have Heath Swah there is some merit to doing a straight swap of the two, but Kosi is in good form right now.

I have/had him from the start in my starting 22. I agree I originally saw him as a cash cow and one stage Rd 5ish thought of trading, but had deficiencies in other areas that need attention. Whether you keep might depend whether you have in the backs or the forwards. I have him in the backs, and hope he continues his current form.

Well I've got Kosi as a Forward anyway but I'm thinking of picking up Shaw in a couple of weeks time

Yeah i just find it more fun when I have players that arent "overly" popular. McPhee will probably score more than Milburn for the rest of the year but at most it will probably 150 points. Nothing in that.

I havnt done this for a while, what do you guys think of my team (not after advice but if you want then go for it, more wondering peoples opinions)

BACKS: C Cornes, J Bowden, D Milburn, A McLeod, L Gilbee, J Adcock, N Bock (J Smith, X Ellis)

CENTRES: C Judd, S Black, L Hodge, S Burgoyne, D Kerr, R Petterd (J Selwood, B Gibbs)

RUCKS: D Cox, B Hudson (P Ryder, J Griffin)

FORWARDS: B Johnson, M Pavlich, J Brown, L Franklin, N Riewoldt, J Kositzcke, Al Davey (T Hawkins, C Hughes)

Cheers Guys

Good team. I think you should put down how many trades you have left though. Everyones team should be pretty damn good by this stage - a true measure of how you team is doing will be how many trades you have left.

Surprised to see that you still have Gibbs on the pine. I would have thought you would have traded him ages ago. Who were your cash cows? Only real week points would be S Burgoyne (in bad form for his price), Bock and Al Davey. And the lack of Bartel.

Depending on how many trades you have left Id be looking at trading Burgoyne for Bartel (if you can afford otherwise Cross/Swan/Kornes) just to get that real elite mid. Trade Bock for H Shaw in a few weeks, maybe Hudson to White/Fraser and lastly Al Davey to Chapman. You would need to cash in a few bench players for this though.

I just found it a surprise because I thought most people traded him for either King or Petterd a fair few weeks back. His price looked like stagnating back then.

Yeah you're spot on. My midfield, which looked pretty sweet at the start is looking rusty, Im leaning towards Cross instead of Bartel though Junior Burger is giving me the sheets. Hesitant to trade Bock as I traded to get him but he's been useless, also feel he will come good (especially with Perrie out) I have 8 trades left (hmm but oh well, Ive given myself a good chance to meet my goals), regret 2 or 3 trades but mostly happy. may use 3 trades to upgrade Bock/Shaw and Petterd to Cross, Al Davey to someone else (while cashing in someone along the way, I know that makes 4 but we'll see). Then I'm pretty set, why not use trades (within reason) now? otherwise you're scoring beneath your potential right? Theres been enough time to pick up good player for dropped prices. I like Gibbs on the Bench cos he plays every week but youre not wasting anything because he never sets the world alight. agree with these thoughts?

no i have 6, but 5 are for injuries.
Ah righto, you're alright then if you're happy with your team (though it sounds like you're not). Just dont trade for a month (outside long-term injuries) and things will look a little rosier.

got bugga all bench, should be siting at 9-10 trades, but losing 4 guns early really deflates a person.

never mind, onwards and upwards.

getting rid of Bock will make me feel better, i'm sure. :D

First time i have posted my team.

looks great.
some bad reserve buys but i reckon you'd be in the top 500, what?
with say, 5 or less trades left.
