AFL 26 hey, irrefutable industry data must have been used to determine the best way to release this was to not tell anyone, then when some rando finds it on the classification board, act like you were just waiting for it to be found, then announce a release date in a few weeks.

I haven't played a console in years and years. I never played a single second of AFL 23. But that thread was one of the greatest of all times on BigFooty. It had it all - the hype, the hubris, the inevitable humbling.

No way that could be topped, Ross and the shills have left here, everybody is being honest, now, and we've all wised up to BA's scams. I'm just surprised they think they can scam us again by having zero transparency, after they scammed everyone the first time around, like expecting that we would somehow forget.

Ross disappearing isn't much of a surprise, pretty hilarious that his community manager has completely vanished as well though. Now he just has a lean amount of free community PR left.

Amazed at how some of the youtubers are even doing videos trying to promote it on the basis of nothing right now.
Let's be real this game is going to be a copy and paste job with a barebones career mode that is life draining boring like the cricket one. Everything will be geared towards the pro team cards.

There are posters on the Big Ant forum that are actually arguing that Big Ant showing nothing is the right marketing move because if they show anything people will just whinge about it.

Kidding aren't they? No one was hiding but them. We just gave up on them providing us with a playable game with the advertised features.
The audacity to try and almost parent their consumers and threaten to send them to the naughty corner if they dare being up flaws with their game is hilarious.

At what point does any of those forum followers even begin to accept rational logic and see that Big Ant are doing exactly what they did last time and presumably the result will be the same?

I have asked BigAnt on Twitter whether the lack of career mode trophies indicates an absence of career mode. Will let you know when they get back to me, but don't hold your breath because they won't reply.

I was responding to a fairly ridiculous post baisically saying they’ve messaged big ant asking if there will be no career mode. And will get back to everyone. Like why would you announce that from the rooftops?
And then going on to say they don’t expect a response. Of course they aren’t going to respond when they have listed career mode as a feature already. Who in their right mind would bother responding to that? I certainly wouldn’t.

Meh, like I said it's the same as 23's mini games which were also listed as a feature and never came. I understand not believing Big Ant's list of features.
Agree that Big Ant won't bother responding though.

It seems odd to me that there are no trophies related to career mode and wouldn't surprise me if the game didn't launch with career mode. Maybe the trophies require updating because they're still working on things, maybe the game mode won't be there on release.
Who knows? BigAnt does, so why bother speculating.

AFL 23 didn't even meet the minimum number of reviews to get a Metacritic score.
And of the 3 reviews it did get, one gave it 90%

So I've been super bored waiting for BA to release any sort of information about this game... so I just decided to make my own - hopefully this stirs up more interest for the game than the "nahhh don't bother" marketing approach to AFL 26
Made a fan art mock up of what the management/coach modecould won't look like and a few additional menu screens. Not a GFX designer but did my best with the spare few hours I had today
