Yep. He attempted to and couldn't get a fist to it. Under my understanding you don't have to legally dispose with no prior. Only attempt to.Do you mean the one-handed handpass?
Correct as long as you make an attempt, then again who knows with this years standard of umpiring.Yep. He attempted to and couldn't get a fist to it. Under my understanding you don't have to legally dispose with no prior. Only attempt to.

Nah this would mean you can effectively throw the ballYep. He attempted to and couldn't get a fist to it. Under my understanding you don't have to legally dispose with no prior. Only attempt to.
Grey area, as a one hand handball, could be a throw. Who knows lol.

The boring Saints are playing some exciting football.
I just rewatched - he got tackled, the ball spilled out, then he reached out for it and it tapped towards a teammate (whether he was intending that or not) all while being tackled. That's a different thing though. Cox wasn't a throw. He didn't attempt to throw it.

Looked like the kind of one handed handball that gets penalised pretty consistently
Reckon this is a weird stand to take. Looked like a clear free to me in real time and on replay. But it shouldn't under the no prior rules. Only have to make an attempt to dispose correctly.
They love doubling up and overlapping games. Absolutely useless bunch of overpaid morons run the league. Why is the AFL so ****ing inept with their scheduling?
Two twilight games - good idea for something different - and they are both at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME

Because if you think a player should be able to get rid of it any way possible when there's no prior - including one-handed handpasses or throws - then there's a lot of free kicks being paid that according to your literal application of the written rule would argue against.Weird take? How so? It's the current rules.
