It would be great to get some pay back for last year’s agonising Prelim defeat.
I’d a one point win as revenge !!

Hopefully Pendles is back.

Swans look very fragile.
Pies look near bullet proof. Though they have been very inconsistent the last fortnight, espesh H1. If Swans can get on a run, you could make a long-shot case for them. But they do look very delicate.

Pies by 30 points.

Old man Franklin playing?

Hope so. Played well and did some only Buddy things that everyone enjoys. Kids at the game when they are 60 years older will remember having seen one of the greats of the game.

First time I saw him play, Darcy Moore back in his first year as a back went to shake his hand before the first bounce. Franklin looked at him and left Moore hanging and then Franklin shoved him haha..

Even though it was kinda funny, sums up the campaigner ultimately I think. 👍

He's at his best just kicking goals though you're right... and steamrolling players that go for the ball.

..I am sure they would have had a post game chat.

Lucky to get within 60. Collingwood have the better defender, mids and forwards atm there is no where on the park that we line up better in. Only thing that can save us another Melb or Geelong type embarrassment game is effort

With a little bit of luck and football smarts against both Port and GWS the Swans could be sitting 5-2 and equal second, and the narrative around this match is a lot different.

The four key players not available for this game from our Preliminary final win over the Pies are Reid, P McCartin, McInerney and Rampe (assuming both Hickey and Fox return) and even Reid in that match had little influence due to picking up an injury. Whilst Pies are deserving favourites for this match I think it will be much closer then people think, and if Hickey returns we can hopefully expose them with height with potentially Cox, Darcy Cameron and Kreuger all unavailable for the Pies who all covered the hitouts for them in the Preliminary final.

It is impossible to ignore our last 3 big losses in Victoria (Geelong x2 and Melbourne), but I'm sure that will be addressed in preparation for Sunday and I back in Longmire and our leadership team to ensure we put in a much better performance this weekend.

No doubt some criticism of the team has been warranted but I don't think where in as bad a spot as it may seem. Win 3 of our next 4 (Pies, Dockers, North and Blues) which is possible and we get to the BYE at 6-5 and well in the mix.

Geez, lotta swannies goin the Armageddon route.

Let's be clear , the Pies are terribly out of form.

Last or near enough for score from turnover, normally a strength, and de forward and i50 is atrocious.

Apart from the odd qtr or 15 minutes here or there, we're in the bottom half for form.

If yous think this will be a Pies walk in smashin think again

I think we'll win, but it certainly won't be a smashing like some predictions.
We haven't kicked over 100 points since round 2 and haven't had a functioning forward line since round 3 - been relying on our midfield far too much lately.
Again, I think we'll win due to the MCG factor, and I'll always tip winning form over losing... I'm expecting a tight contest.

I just want the Pies to win by anything that isn't a heartstopping, come from behind type scenario. I don't think my poor heart can survive anymore of this. :p
