Demons have been stung and their big name players are going to want to extract revenge and will take it out on the blues
Mate these pricks wouldn't even know they been stung they so far up their up own arses. Nice sponsorships, large contracts, premiership medals-they don't care no more, job's done, tools down, they got fame and fortune already. Even our middle-name players are very weel looked after because of that beautiful day in Perth, never mind the big-name guys phoning it in. Jaguar stuck in cruise control baby. "extract revenge" lollllllll. This isn't even the first time Fremantle spanked our flag-winning arses on our home deck, only this time we had a brand new AA ruckman, Freo down Sean Darcy and still we said "hey old friend Dogga Jackson, do whatever you want with us, please!!!!". Nevermind the future pick Freo holding onto, useless pricks.

You miss last year? Dees got stung every second week we didn't do shit about it.

So if the Dees drop this one you guys should straight up fold.
**** oath we should!!!!!

This is a match for the coaches.
Carlton thrashed - goodbye Michael
Melbourne thrashed - Simple moves into shaky territory and Michael lives another game.
A close game - the pressure rises.

A lot of pessimistic Dees fans in here. I get it to some extent, but sheesh if we can beat Carlton anyone can.

Melbourne by plenty.

Melbourne has lost two close games to red hot teams, the pessimism is a bit embarrassing tbh. they will destroy the Blues and finish in the top 4.

Red hot form is a bit overstated in my opinion. You've beaten 10th, 11th and 16th on the ladder before facing the dees who are an 8-12 footy team at the moment. Sure, you've improved but there's still a middle of the road team. Melbourne losing to the dockers says more about the dees than it does about the dockers and that's why the heat has come on the dees.

What is Melbourne's identity?
When the game is turning on them, do they have a plan B because it just looks very chaotic.
Even if they had Curnow at FF, not too sure there would be a difference in their approach moving the ball.

Port Adelaide missing an entire forward-line, at home against Fremantle with their first choice ruck injured in the second quarter. Should have won both games comfortably.

Very nice of the AFL to let off another Carlton player at the tribunal? AFL doing everything they can to get all the "big four" clubs playing finals, especially now Collingwood are actually good.

Love to know what the Dee fans on here are smoking. Carlton pretty much at full strength were comfortably accounted for by a mid table Swans missing half their team. Melbourne coming off losses to two pretty decent teams are going to eviscerate us.

Carlton copping it left, right and centre while Melbourne escapes most of the criticism for equally disappointing form (considering the expectations for each team), coach on shaky ground, McKay under fire for his kicking/general poor form, Cripps under the microscope for form + leadership, Carlton missing a bunch of players (though none are quite Clayton Oliver).

Has all the hallmarks of a 'brave' Carlton win with Cripps polling three votes and McKay kicking five straight.

Boromir sums up my feelings.

Carlton have been junk for 20 years at some point they're going to start winning games of football, aren't they?

It's scientifically impossible to be this shit for this long. Given that Carlton haven't been able to get on top of the Demons since Jesus Christ was playing football for Jerusalem, I'm predicting it's going to be this week.

I'm very upset about it already.

Refer to my post above.

Speaking of Jesus, he'd be a handy in for us at half forward, if he can turn water into wine surely he can turn our junk lofty floaters inside 50 into bullet passes that hit team mates inside 50.

Season slipping away for the Blues

If they win the games against sides below them for the rest of the year, they finish with 7 wins and a draw
To make up other wins they have to do some of the following
  • Beat Gold Coast at home and/or away
  • Beat Essendon at the MCG
  • Beat Port at Marvel
  • Beat Freo at Optus
  • Beat St Kilda at Marvel
  • Win one or both of the games v Melbourne
  • Beat Collingwood

GWS at Marvel and Hawthorn/West Coast are considered gimmies.

Paddy Dow still cant get a game

Really bad form from Carlton the kid has been dominating all year and with all the outs still doesnt get given a game
