Well done to all.

Missing that 10 CR point game early in the season hurts!
If I fell short I’d have Brough up week 7 snf

That was about when I thought $$$ was realistic and I was talking to a mate how desperate I was for philly to win. Thankfully it didn’t come back to bite me.

Was bloody difficult
It was the first ever time I was a legitimate shot at the grand prize.

In my first year I think it was, ND was absolutely fun as you could banter head to head and take down your opposition
But its a lot more nervous when youre going for the ultimate prize. Sweating every selection.
Checking numerous other people to see how it was going.

I was shitting myself particularly this week. Was the most in depth I went into my tips this year. Over analysed every game. Selected my 4pm tips based off how my 1pm tips fell. As 1 team winning can clinch another situation etc.

Bring on 2020
I want back-to-back

Well played to all winners, particularly American Crow for taking the ND title!

Another competitive year, thanks to JeffDunne, peterbuch74, bggt2110 and balmainforever for running the comp. Looking forward to another big season next year.

I was very fortunate to survive the last Seattle drive. Definitely our match up could have gone either way. I know how extremely difficult it is to make it as far as we did, so nicely done this year to you as well.

Big thank you to the guys that carried this competition forward this year. Well done fellas.

Congratulations to all the winner and placers....these contests are not easy at all.

Dirty Bird great job on grabbing the lead in the CR contest and holding off all comers. Congrat's mate.

I set and forget after Sunday night - I want to watch games Monday night after work spoiler free so I can't adjust my tips based on the early games.

Funny thing is so many times particularly over the last 6 or so weeks I reckon I was 8/9, 7/8, 6/8 etc from the early games and then shat the bed completely with the afternoon games. There has to be something in that gotta review my strategy before next season ....

Congrats to all the winners was another fun season of the best tipping comp around

Tbh
I only did that in week 17

In about week 13ish I used a mathematicians tips and it wasn’t so good. I just saw the previous week his maths out did me. After the week I realised that was about 1 in 3 or 4 better than me. And the only week he considerably out did me was I need week 4. Seems the maths would’ve won me hrs and by quite a margin.

Honestly. I did my tips Thursday night/Friday morning
If I was 100% confident in tnf i might just set that at max and wait till Sunday for the rest. But more often than not I was tipping last thing Thursday night or first thing Friday morning.

There was 1 week late this year (either week 15 or 16) I woke up in a panic thinking I had forgotten to submit tips. Then I realised it was still only sunday.

AE19 final standings and winners list... Congratulation to all winners!

Massive thank you to bgt2110 for getting the ball rolling and getting this beast up and running again, thank you to JeffDunne for running the site once more, thank you to balmainforever , Dirty Bird and GG.exe for running comps and assisting along the way... greatly appreciated!

To the winners... BGT will be in touch soon to verify bank details to pass on winnings :D

Thanks to everyone involved in running AE19 this year, you've all done a fantastic job. AE continues to remain the most enjoyable, interesting and hard to win tipping comp around.

For myself, happy to have won 3XKO for the second time but disappointed to drop from 2nd overall to 4th this week. I never normally take my own side 16cr because l don't want to blame the Pats if l lose but l thought we were a sure thing at home against Miami with a bye on the line.

Congratulations to all the winners, hope to do it all again next season :thumbsu:

it was a real blast running bottom of the table in all the comps again!

I am of the belief, much like the Browns organization, you actively attempt to finish with the worst record imaginable

;)

Not at all, but i think next year I am going to use more (or all) analytics to make my selections...bring the gut feeling and "football acumen" factors way down on the notch.

Analytics is the answer!

Youre just going to go with what LicoriceAllsorts posts every week?
Probably shit all over ya ;)

im going to spend the AE off-season researching stats, favorites, lines, etc etc, and devise a new algorithm to use.

Seems to me good ol’ common sense football knowledge from a lifetime playing/watching the game was enough to win not 1 but 2 different competitions

So did a healthy disgust of everything GG wants to use for next season

Go figure

;)

the reverse true for me...decades of football acumen, cant pick shit tho. i admit often i fall behind and go for broke picking wildly, trying to find the upsets as thats the only way to claw back up the CR ladder if you fall behind by 50+ pts. but then you just exasperate things.

next year gonna try all out analytics tho, leave my wealth of football acumen aside

Agreed
The only week I tried another’s method and went with analytics was my 3rd worst week where I went 17/40
