It's just the pies fans sticking their heads in the sand to try and save face. They've had the worst offseason in recent history (maybe only Essendon have had a worse one in the last 20 years) and they're clinging to the lies as a desperate form of solace. It's so, so funny.

All reports suggest they got bent over and their cap is/was fk'd beyond all recognition but because this one suspiciously new poster has told them otherwise, it's the gospel.
He’s also says we have serious salary cap issues so I think it’s fair to say it’s bollox.

Think they are chipping in something for Phillips next year.
Consensus on the Pies board is that they are paying Treloar around $830k in total.

That means he’s earning an average of $766k over the next five years.

I haven’t seen anything close to that being reported anywhere.

All a matter of perspective.

It was only a few seasons ago where in order facilitate a 7million dollar deal to a kid who had played less than 10 games resulted in trading away the captain of a club and paying some of his wage.

turned out to be a master stroke, I don’t think anyone thought it was at the time...

No-one is debating how much we paid Boyd or what we paid Griff to head to the Giants. It was never a secret and we never lied to players or the media about it.

What does that have to do with Collingwood/their supporters desperately trying to lie their way out of embarrassment?

Nah. You can tell it's going straight to a turnover.

Encapsulates a Collingwood fan response. Funnily enough, Taylor Adams doesn’t get the same abuse despite also turning it over at a high rate. Guess it’s only really an issue if a player leaves

I'm not a Collingwood supporter numbnuts.

And the comment was an ironic dig at them.

And the Boyd situation was a reaction to Griffs bailing out on McCartney, it was the spark that prompted the bid for Boyd, not an integral part of it as the previous poster suggested.

The most recent "source" is a new member with less than 50 posts to his name who claims to have inside information that everything is so not that bad that it's almost good.

Which seems to have been greeted with more enthusiasm than rigour.

The perceptive viewer may feel their bullshit meter going into the red.

Ned Guy started on BF?

Where's the pics of dunkley practicing his hitouts twice as much now Adam is onboard?

😋

he can do it for another year and wait for Essendon to offer us a pick in the top 5

Now the cat is out of the bag that he is gettable- 8 other vic clubs will be all over him.
The bombers have totally blown their chance- he won't ever be a bomber.

You'll get a top 5 pick for him but it won't be from essendon.
Dunkleys family and agent are very unhappy with Essendon so highly unlikely he ends up there.

Cool. Just as Rhylee West is ready for inside mid rotations.
The Dunkleys are rumoured to be very unhappy with Essendon but Josh as a full time inside mid is a beast.

If Libba's injured early in the season it may be a different story.

He’s not, and wasn’t.

He was however a very good way to keep Bombers from entering any Treloar talks.

Weirdly, Dunkley and Treloar already have a strange bromance going on.
Someone who wanted to change clubs and didn't and someone who didn't want to change clubs but did.

Anyone would get along with Dunks. Isn’t he leadership group? Probably wrapping his gorgeous arms around Ads and giving him some love.

Two blokes that 2 months ago were just about odds on to be anywhere but the Bulldogs.
