dont underestimate Freo. If Sandilands is getting clearances and Pav fires then they can score big.

Isn't Sandilands on record as Saying that Goldy is his toughest match up because he is a south paw.

Goldy will go alright IMO

Why do people keep saying don't "risk" him? I don't get it.

If he is cleared fit to play, he isn't a risk. Or is our medical staff incompetent all of a sudden?

ps: We have the best in the business :thumbsu:

Goldy will be fine at the centre bounce where he can leap into Sandilands. At the stoppages Sandi will have an advantage because he's so damn tall and hard to move. Hopefully Goldy can get on his bike and be the extra midfielder again this week.

From memory Goldy hasn't played against Sandilands the last few times because he has been injured. Since the last time they met, Goldy has definitely got better and Sandi is in decline.

If Wells is fit play him but otherwise no.
I'm not too worried about pav, even if he plays he is not 100% fit. Watching the game against the tigers, he was coming off the ground every 5 minutes and didn't look good at all.

This will be a good test for North Melbourne. Attack vs Defence. Although everyone knows the best defence is a good offence. GO ROOS!

That's what the hawks did with buddy... We know the outcome of that.

Wells hasn't done a "hammy", plus in this case the player in question is intelligent.

I also think our staff are very switched on, fantastic record in terms of the last two years so i'll trust their decision.

Sandy is actually a shit tap ruckman but he's good below his knees (which is stupid vonsidering his size) He uses his big body to block space and gets his share of clearances. It's when he's doing well at this that Freo do well. Otherwise our mids will smash theirs!

Simple. If the doctors say he's right, bring him back. It's been a bit weird on here how everybody became an expert on his calf injury.

As always, NC on the money. Some genuinely odd posts in this thread.

I used to be a doctor, and I still wouldn't have a f'ing clue.

Fortunately though, with the job their doing at the moment, I'm more than comfortable backing in our medical staff to make the right call on him.

A PHD is pr0n does not qualify you as a doctor.

Interesting stat on AFL 360 last night.

Sandilands may be a hit out machine but his hit outs to advantage don't mirror that stat.

Goldy will blow him up around the ground.

If Sandilands plays then I think Griffen will also play, and Lyon will use the other ruckman forward. L. Delaney has to play.

Sandilands actually gets around the ground pretty well, he's very deceptive in his running capabilities. Hopefully his fitness is down due to missing so many games.

Think sandilands is being sold a little short...pardon the pun. Will give Goldy head aches in our defensive 50
Don't know what you've seen of sandi but he is woeful inside 50. For a truck like him he gets pushed off the ball pretty easy when going for a mark. He is definitely no dean cox in that aspect.

Assuming what the club is saying is true - that they'll assess him later in the week - that sounds too 'touch and go' to me. I'd rather err on the side of caution with Wellsy. Valuable goods - handle with care.
