Gonna side with duck on this one.
Now I don’t know shit about ****, but it’s the vibe n such with a healthy amount of cope. Should be right for round 1!
I like this positivity…..enough of the woe is us …..
I’ll cross my fingers and hope he gets the best outcome….and that this is the last of any injuries he sustains for the year.
Thinking nothing but positive vibes….cos lve had a gut full of bottom table garbage gloom.

For those that are more knowledgeable about injuries than myself, is a hamstring similar to an ALC tear where if they tear it once they become increasingly more prone to tearing?

In my mind George getting through 90% of the pre-season unscathed is an improvement on his load per hamstring injury scale?

All the best for a speedy and thorough recovery Warlord

I'm sure some will disagree, but I feel like it would've been worse if it was a Will Phillips, Josh Goater, Miller Bergman, guys who are in a make-or-break year and need to show improvement or their careers are dead. By comparison, George has nothing to prove, the club will give him as much time as he needs to recover, and then he'll be back striking fear into the hearts of all opponents.
LOL! This is not a make or break year for Goater.

not concerned.

It's actually common to do soft tissue injuries especially when training intensity is up. However, since that load is all about strengthening the key muscles and elasticity, I have no doubt Wardlaw will get back into the groove relatively quickly.

I've done a hamstring tear (even if Wardlaw has done that it's only 3-4 weeks) before, it ain't pretty but when you do things by the book, you won't do things like that ever again.

Not sure how anyone is getting anything off that vision, especially enough to claim its on the catastrophic level.

Just looks like he overbalanced and his legs couldn't keep up, not that his hammy shot off the bone and his leg needs to be amputated.

i think I can wait a couple of days and hear what the doctors say. Anything reported here is based on nothing.
One guarantee - the club will under-play how bad it is.

I’m sure you’ll hear “we’re confident George will be back by round ……”

Put that in the memory bank and then see if George actually makes it back by that round.

Wardlaws history of bad hamstrings doesn’t concern you?

It simply has to be concerning.

We desperately need 18+ games a year out of George being a top end draft pick. At this stage of his career, that seems light years away.

... umm.. how many games do you think he played last season?

In general there is an increase in risk that you'll tear it again. Depends on how it heals up, the amount of scar tissue etc.

Without knowing the specific history, in which leg he previously tore a hammy and more so which hamstring muscle (there are 3) and where in that muscle, the grade and how much scar tissue formed when healing, you can't be certain as to the level of risk for reoccurance.

We are just guessing, that said there is clearly an issue that will need ongoing management.

I have a feeling Dinkers is on the money unfortunately
I agree.

I know Dinkers said he didn't have any info and was just reading the tea leaves but I do wonder if he has and old mate at the club who has the inside word. Prepare for the worst people, this is an 8 – 10 week injury anything fewer will be a bonus.

Played 18 last year and was rested throughout the year from memory.
