We had just as many at WH.I'd be keen on the injuries caused at training in Tullamarine vs the injuries caused at training at Windy Hill.

Shiel had a meniscus tear that was worse then first thought. Instead of cutting the damaged part out (worse in long term) they sewed it back together which took 4-5 months recovery.5 months for just meniscus ? didn’t he have a different procedure done to his knee
Will depend on how he recovers doubt they rush him, but I’d imagine he’ll be eased back into vfl by r6-8. That’s a good 3-4 months away.Shiel had a meniscus tear that was worse then first thought. Just trying to show that the term 'meniscus injury' encompasses a large variety of possible outcomes, and Tsatas sounds like he is in the lowerish end of the scale for a meniscus tear which is something at least.
It sounds though that they are going to be super conservative though, and I wouldn't expect to see him at AFL level before the bye in r14.
Knocks him out for the whole year. He'll be back 6 rounds into the season. This means without any more injuries he won't be available till the second half of the year.
Sure, if you don't want to allow for the inevitable set backs and mismanagement.12 weeks is 14th April.
Sucks but not disastrous.
He doesn’t. But on the other hand.. He’s stuffed. He can’t talk and doesn’t wear pants.I bet Bailey Humphrey doesn't have tissue paper meniscuses.
Neither does Phillipou.I bet Bailey Humphrey doesn't have tissue paper meniscuses.
settle downDelist.
Hey Google..Someone name me a superstar who overcame a meniscus tear early in their career please.
Elijah TsatasSomeone name me a superstar who overcame a meniscus tear early in their career please.
If it is 8-10 weeks as expected he won't be eligible to go on the LTI.You have to feel sorry for the kid. He's not long over his foot injury and here he is sidelined again with a knee, and he hasn't even played a senior game yet.
Is it possible he goes on the LTI and we bring someone in with a view to the MSD? Tsatas gets right and we get a deep look at someone in the meantime. Then we can take any two of the SSP train-ons? Or am I not understanding that whole process at all?
Bigfooty Google hasn't given me any precedence.Hey Google..
Focus should just be last half of VFL compHow close does an 8 week meniscus get to writing the season off?
Wrapping players in cotton wool isn't inherently good but we're in this for the long term.
Maybe give it to mid year after building him through a full pre season.
8 weeks takes us to start of the season. Nowhere near writing off the season. How close does an 8 week meniscus get to writing the season off?

Personally I would not care if he started playing VFL in may.How close does an 8 week meniscus get to writing the season off?
