AFL Player # 5: Elijah Tsatas - Late in vs Richmond - 25/5

The reason why Tsatas was the right pick at our selection is he is the right ‘type’ of player you need in the modern game. Think Sydney with Gulden and Warner. But he needs to time to develop his body to get back his explosiveness and increase endurance base as he’s had significant injury every year for the last three years

Which makes sense.
It just gets confusing thinking back to why then coach played him on a wing earlier in the season.
What do think drove the change in approach?
Played him to see where he was at . It happens at all clubs. Give them opportunity to play some games and if they come up a fraction short then back to the VFL for a bit.

I’d much rather he keep on dominating vfl and learning his craft than be in and out of the side as a sub. There’s no pressure on him at the moment to come in, he’s got time to develop and after another full preseason hopefully he’s ready to become a mainstay. The geelong approach usually works well with youngsters.

He’s a good boy, kicking issues massively overblown in my opinion.

Has polish and poise in traffic and is an underrated mark on the lead and overhead.

Sure, sometimes the issue is his kicks are massively overblown. But sometimes the issue is they're shanked and other times he doesn't put enough through the ball.

He had about 3 clangers which was similar to a lot of other players in the match. Merrett and Perkins had 5 clangers each.

Yeah but that doesn't matter. Hank says he sucks.
