Club release telling us he lost his right leg in a car accident during the week?

I don’t see any real noticeable difference with Fisher in all honesty.

Fisher may have been a better kick and Daniel harder around the ball. It’s negligible.

Fisher is quicker so I’d take him on that alone and I don’t want Fisher in the side.

I don't know what some posters were expecting with this bloke. There is a reason he wasn't getting a game at the Dogs, absolute liability defensively and is just too slow for the modern game. Now his kicking has gone off the boil. Jeez this club loves burning a good 2nd round pick.

Living embodiment of the fact that you don't want to have the best house on the worst street. Doesn't matter if u got xyz fancy shit the dodgy overgrown rubbish dumps around ya mean your Italian marble whatever that looks the shit in posh st won't even get looked at and sooner or later bit by bit your gonna let the lawn go forget about the gutters park on the front yard and join in the wallow. Good times

Was a questionable trade at the time but I don’t think anyone expected it to be this much of a disaster.
He cost us 25 and that deal also led to us having to cough up our first rounder this year.
If he don't come good this will be up there with the CCJ debacle.

Especially when you compare it with what the Saints paid for Macrae who is a far superior player.

Sheesh Merlin - Daniel has been a deadset revelation down back.

He has the odd howler but his attacking kicking is a big reason why we've hit the scoreboard so often in the first two games.

You watch him, his first instinct off half back is to go forward and preferably through the corridor.

I'll take that over the crabbing we've witnessed over the past few years.

Agreed. And looking at those bagging him backs up my thoughts. It’ll work itself out.

I was like, taking the p!ss

We won last week, great recruitment; we lose this week, Caleb Daniel falls from the sky

Still our leading possession winner with 77% KE and 540 metres gained.

Anyone got a chart for output of our designated kicker outerers last 20yrs? Or maybe their output minus instances of being kicker inerer. Ziebs all overs again? Oh for an uncontested mark on a attacking angle

He gets a lot of the ball but doesn't use it very well, yet he is still labeled our "best ball user" according to some "experts" on this board. No, he is not, far from it. Colby and Sheezle were far more effective playing the role Daniel is now in previous years.
On a pretty small sample size but bar the 2nd half v godeed this is how it stands at present.

Ziebel and to a lesser extent lmac are big proponants of the dump kick. Daniels on the other hands kicks get less air than trever chappels famous delivery.

Disappointing. Id like to see him take a few less risks with ball in hand until his confidence returns and he gets more familiar with patterns ahead of him. Perhaps we’re asking him to do too much with ball in hand. Would like to see him share designated kicking duties with O’Sullivan, or even have Sheezel slide back there more often despite his indifferent start to the year.
