I mentioned above about a memory of a knock in the Brisbane game but I can't remember any of the details, probably because at the time he seemed okay.

Going to have to rule you out of gameday posting this week then.

All, we thought ferball was going to get up this week but always have to listen to the forum doctors on these things.

I just read your Kerridge pick and believe it or not the injury and game day threads are both nightmares from which I'm forever trying to awake.

(Whenever i see them that line pops into my head.)

Does anyone know what the concussion test entails?

Maybe Ben is just thick and we are mistaking it for concussion.

There is supposed to be a benchmark

Do the test in Off season and then do it after a concussion

Wats on it who knows...

He could be getting headaches or nausea after exercise for all we know

There's obvious signs of concussion. That's what the in game tests identify. If you do a first aid course you'll learn most of them. I reckon the game time ones are a bit more intensive and administered by a trained dr. But I dunno if they do eeg tests in the rooms.

They may do them as part of their ongoing H&W monitoring of players. I guess I'd assume so but I don't know enough about it to really say. If scans identify acute/short term issues related to concussion then they'd definitely be using them.

In an interview with Romping Wins after he got knocked out Higgo mentioned the way he felt in the week and a half after the game and I'm pretty sure he could identify when he was right and when he wasn't. Its worth reading if you haven't seen it or have forgotten it.

Its a real worry if they've identified something potentially chronic/long term.

3. Returning Jacobs claims another victim
North Melbourne tagger Ben Jacobs has seen his reputation go to another level this season after shutting down numerous star midfielders, including Dustin Martin and Patrick Cripps, while also having an impact with the football. His most difficult opponent to counter, however, has been the delayed concussion that had the Roos confused about where it originated from. The clash against Gold Coast on Sunday was his first in a month after the Roos were very conservative with him, and they were rewarded for their caution. He kept Suns tough nut David Swallow to seven disposals in the first half, none of which were kicks, before moving off him for the rest of the game to finish with 26 disposals and a goal.

Bloody weapon is Benny. He had the balls to first, kick the ball and secondly have confidence to hit the aggressive corridor kick on a few occasions.
