Blame Trump all you like, but Biden didn't reverse them and Harris didn't campaign on reversing them.

Trickle-down economics is still bipartisan in the USA. The Dems are just slightly-less-trickle.
agree that the dems have lost their way in many respects. the need for a bernie sanders or aoc has never been greater.

3 former presidents won't attend donny's inauguration.
They should skip inauguration. "Respect the office and show the world what the US is blah blah Aaron Sorkin's West Wing" stuff is finished. They just look bad for going when the new president is a blithering idiot with dark plans.

I am a tad of topic here,
But the thread title mentions Capitalism,
Bezos has really changed there tune over at the Washington Post,
Jeff even went to Florida to meet the Orange man and also flew to Trumps golf club for an event and also Attending Trumps Inauguration .
Funny how the rich do such things for what I assume is favors Eg Tax Cuts perhaps.

Billionaires should never exist. Taxing them 70 percent or more back 50 years ago was the best thing America did. It didn't hurt the economy or slow growth. The rich cried poor, that they wanted more of the pie. Regan sold the BS trickle down economic policy. And the rich now hold obscene amounts of wealth. That they can now use, to buy and influence elections, policy, and hoard more wealth.

They are all only in it for themselves. So it is no surprise Bezos and F**kerberg jumped ship once it was likely Trump would win. More cuts and benefits for them. The voice of the 1% should never hold sway over the majority of voters.

Yet its funny, regardless of political party standing. How many poor people vote for the rich, or defend the rich, or vote agasint anything that regulates the rich. I think they are still waiting for all that wealth to trickle down to them since the 80s. If that fails, can always blame minority groups instead. The amount of people that simp for the likes of Musk, is exactly why they get away with everything unchecked.

The real issue is the same issues there, here and anywhere in the world. There is a massive lack of investment by all governments into poor and rural areas, to help give them more opportunities for growth. When there is no work, no transport, lack of social environments, it is pretty lonely, and it is very hard to break through and relocate to a better area, when you have little income in the first place. Ever see the type of accounts in Aus, posting the most hate towards anything pro gay or migrant? It is often the account of some farmer in the middle of no where, that never sees a migrant or gay person all their life (excluding fruit pickers). Yet are somehow convinced all their world problems is caused by people they never see. Not the climate issues, not corporate supermarket chains underpaying them, not lack of government investment in rural areas. But sure, keep voting for the parties who have done nothing to little for them.

Again, zero sympathy.

Keep on waiting for that trickle down money guys. Maybe in 20 years you will get some from your trillionaire overlords.

They don't just want cuts and benefits, they want an end to the nation state.
