In the context its pretty weird and perverted.
Only in modern times.

People partnered up with their sibling's widowed spouses all the time up until the last one or two hundred years.

Why do you hate established conservative values???

Classic MAGA, barracking for the iceberg to own the libs.
I'm barracking for anybody who can string two words together, who can manage to conduct himself with some sort of dignity, someone who knows what day it is and somebody who has some idea of what's going on. Don't ever forget, if anything happens to Joe, we get an even crazier replacement in "chuckles" Harris! Comforting thought for the free world, but a free world is not on the agenda of many.

Sets a precedent now that feds can go after ppl doing similar false statements
From the few bits I've seen about it, they have always been able to do that. Just don't enforce it much.

Geez Joe really dropped the ball on this one didn't he.

Worst weaponised DoJ ever.
Oh it's to hide much bigger crimes and to make people think they are fair when they send Baron to prison for the crime of walking and chewing gum at the same time.

I suspect Biden will pardon him very shortly after the upcoming election, win or lose.
Why ?

From what I've read online the case was not controversial, and it's pretty clear that Hunter broke the law. Pardons are traditionally used for particularly harsh sentences or politically strategic moves. Pardoning Hunter would fit neither bill.

It would fit the 'father protecting their child' bill.
Heard on the radio Biden has come out and said that he won’t pardon him.
Of course, prevents the GOP/Trump using it as political ammunition this coming election.

LOL.

You're right that the GOP/Trump are stupid and hypocritical enough to use it as political ammunition this coming election, simply pretending that the 'pardons for pay' program that Trump undertook upon his exit didn't happen.

Trump knows that he can get away with straight out lies. His rusted-on base appears willing to believe he didn't say "lock her up" just because he now claims he didn't say it. Their eyes and ears were the ones lying to them when they saw those videos of him saying "lock her up".

Having said that, I think you're wrong about Biden pardoning Hunter. I'd be willing to bet that he won't. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
