Happy with that re-signing. He's got the combativeness necessary to be a ruck in the AFL. Would be nice if they let us know when he's expected back on the park.

Nothing to do with Mirkov. This is on merit. O'Keefe has the mongrel and hardness to be a very good AFL ruckman. His ability to push forward as well makes him an exciting prospect
Not you BH, but really disappointed at the ambivalence shown by a number of posters at this re-signing.And if TDK goes on to play another 8 years in the navy blue, Huddo will be 27yo when he makes his debut
To your post, Huddo is absolutely the type who could co-exist with TDK. Is a dead eye shot for goal, while ruckman first absolutely has decent forward craft.
Those highlights were somewhat in the vein of Matty Kreuzer and more recently TDK. A contributor around the ground, nit just a ruck. Just a left field suggestion, if Pitto is consigned to the twos for most of this year and next, I would love to see Huddo trialled as a key defender. I think he is mobile enough to make it a viable proposition.
Love the signing and look forward to seeing him on the main list in 2026. Will be a very solid understudy to TDK should Pitto decide to seek more opportunity elsewhere.

Kid is a competitor, still raw but moves well for a ruckman who hunts opponents and has an appetite for the contest, for his age has some good qualities and upside…

This is Tim Clarke's take on Hudson at the start of the year. Its the reason I'm interested in HOK's development. If he can provide around the ground abilities, in addition to rucking, he'll probably get a crack, and maybe even move ahead of Pitto.
A tag team with TDK would be great for stretching the oppositon.

"He’s been strong this pre-season. He’s had the opportunity to be able to compete with Tommy De Koning and holding his own. He was recruited late last year, so he didn’t really get the opportunity to do a pre-season to be able to help him get through the year at VFL level. The fact that he’s been able to do a solid pre-season against an AFL-calibre ruck is going to be really strong for him: you’ve seen not only that grow, but also his ability to draw the ball in transition, not just with stoppage work."Here are his stats for the last 2 years in VFL.
