I'd keep Nankervis as the sole captain and make Dustin vice captain.
With Grimes I just feel that the responsibility of being a captain weighed heavily on him this season, so I'd take that off him and let him get back to playing his role without the responsibility of being captain, and if he starts off next season as bad as he played this season, then you'll know that he's done and that you shouldn't keep playing him ahead of younger options.

I would never had agreed with this, but I am of the belief that a new coach will inspire Dusty back to his best and being Captain, albeit an unorthodox one, would again see the great man rise to a whole new level.
That would make all of us rise to a whole new level …
Just watching the trash that was served up tonight reinforces the superstardom of Dusty. All those big moments on offer for so many players, but none of them stood up.

Comms raving about players getting 30 sherrins with no goals or assists. Dusty was averaging 27 disposals and 3+ goals + assists over that golden 4 year period of finals. Low scoring games too. You do watch these games and admire the players who play well like DeGoey, but it does absolutely reinforce exactly how good Dusty was in those finals - and not 1, about 9 of them.
DeGoey was excellent, but can you imagine a situation where the game is on the line ... and Dusty is on the bench for the last 9 minutes

The big last dance just fizzed out when the GOAT got injured!
Having the GOAT play in some of those close games would have made a big diff...
