Not knowing too much about the strengths and weaknesses of our new highpriced swingman Matty Whitlock I’ve watched some of his highlight vids and one thing that’s struck me is there didn’t appear to be a lot of contested marking. For those that might have seen a bit more of him is this something that he’s likely to develop as he puts more muscle on that slight frame of his over the next few preseasons or is he not that kind of player?

What I like about key position prospects is they show the odd glimpse of what they are capable of then out of nowhere, they dominate a game and it falls into place along with the improvement of the team.

When a KPP becomes a best 22 beast, it makes the rest of the team stand taller. Unless you're Carlton.

Agreed, as I queried above I just haven’t seen any evidence of him taking a contested mark from the highlight vids I’ve seen online.
