Nearly posted this when teams were announced but didn't wanna get attacked, but how he is still on our list is beyond me. I thought we were passed that phase of playing blokes purely on being a battler.

Did not know the term Honest Battler had sunk to such despairing depths!

Conca is a great tackler and gives a decent don’t argue Corey is a decent kick combine them and you get a good half back flanker or wingman
That is assuming you get the best traits not the worst; just as easy to get Conca kicking and Ellis Tackling...

The End

Griffiths
Hampson
Conca
Ellis
Extremely poor recruiting especially when you include Lennon
Lennon - Last Drafted: Round 1, Pick #12 2013
Conca - Last Drafted: Round 1, Pick #6 2010
CEllis - Last Drafted: Round 1, Pick #12 2014
Griffiths - Last Drafted: Round 2, Pick #19 2009
Hampson - 2013 NAB AFL Draft traded by Carlton for No. 28

Pretty clear Conca is little more than depth. He was exposed last night when the pressure was on- looked rushed, panicked, simply won't stand up to finals like games. Compare his game to Short who looks to have time, composure and a bit of toe even when the heat is on.
Last night was not the end of the world actually thought the margin wasn't too bad considering how bad we played in the 2nd half, but it's a good reminder how tough the comp is and you can't go into any game with passengers. It's vital we get players like Short and Menadue into the side infront of Conca and Ellis, they need the exposure to the type of game we saw last night.
