That's fine. You want good players, then you pay them accordingly

If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Crikey Michael, I had heard that, hence the reason I seem to be dodging shit thrown at me in the office.

Bloody last day that I'll turn up, tomorrow work from home but hand my computer in on the way home today. Makes sense to me.

Regardless of where we finish this season on the ladder, it will have been a grand year.

Chomden
Sheezel
Wardlaw
Goater
Bergman
Logue

Like to see other clubs beat that.

I'd be very very surprised if he didn't re-sign after the amount of faith the club has put into him to getting his body right.

He's also very close with the young boys, but particularly Powell.

It's a smart call from his manager though, as a young KPP with 20 more games under his belt, his value will be a lot more then it currently is.
You think it's a smart call? And what happens if he gets another long term injury on the weekend, with all of 5 games under his belt?

Any chance Comben will be thrown back to cover McKay and Logue’s absence?
I think it is robbing Peter to pay Paul but may be our only genuine KP option.
This thought crossed my mind too.

Wouldn’t consider it generally, but with our two best talls down, might be worth considering?

Not sure if he’s played back much in juniors? Seems versatile. Could be good to go with one of their talls around the ground a bit.

We have a few more options we could use up forward if we went with a smaller, mobile forward line - basically, what we’ve had for the last few years with Larks and CZ - Goldie resting up there.

<Acknowledging this is just circular logic mental wank with no new information>

This kinda pisses me off. Yeh business sense etc, but we've reported as being very keen and we have a kid we've shown lots of faith in saying "talk to the hand" when it comes to repaying the love.

</Circular logic mental wank>

It depends a lot on what "very keen" actually means, doesn't it?

I don't know about what line of work you're in, but I'd much prefer my performance appraisal to follow the completion of the goals I set out to achieve.

I'm sure Chom's goals would have been more ambitious than "get back on the track" and "play a few games."

Would give away too many frees and be burned by players who lead and double back.

Send Goldie back after the centre bounces and let Greenwood go head to head with De Koning
Not sure if Goldy has the pace to play on either McKay or Curnow, he would have to simply fill the hole.
Corr, Ziebell, Bonar and LMac don’t fill me with confidence as genuine KPDs.
For a week, I’d throw Charlie back and go with a smaller, mobile forward line.
I notice Sheezel was named forward.
