I don't like any of this inconclusive crap. Umpire gives it not out with good reason (too far down the pitch), if you choose to review and there's no reason to overturn it, then the review should be lost.

Why should it be lost that’s the whole point of having the system the way it is

The ball clearly hit the pad first, it hit half in line with off stump which has been umpires call since the system came into existence, and it was smacking Middle stump. If the umpire gave it it would have stayed out. Would you have been happy for Australia to lose a review if they challenged it?

Umpires are still reluctant to give batsman out when they move down the pitch to a spinner. Although I recall do Aleem Dar giving Steve Smith out when he was about 2.9 metres down the pitch at the WACA.

Well the 3rd umpire got it wrong saying that it was inconclusive for that lbw appeal when it clearly hit pad first.
