Except then Higgo bailed and went to Geelong. Leaving in itself is a minus, but huge deduction of kudos for going to Geelong. Very poor decision

We got him as a free agent and then traded him for a pick. And he was really good for us.
Win, win, win.
Don’t begrudge him leaving given all that.

Have we ever traded in a bloke that just feels like he should have always been at North as much as him?
There’s been quite a few who became great players for us but as a guy who hasn’t played a game yet, no, I don’t think we’ve had a more Shinbonerish recruit.

Shaun was a champion player for our club in the time he played with us, he didn't bail on us, he was at the end of his career and we actually got the best out of him + it certainly worked out for both parties as at Geelong he was injured and loss of form, if he had of stayed I can imagine the comments from some of our supporters, at the time, like it or hate it, it was the correct decision. :)

We pushed him out. Apparently did a lot of work with our young mids.

Good list. Nathan Thompson Sav Rocca if we wanna go back further aswell

I wonder if the broader AFL world see Sav as more as a North man or Collingwood man? And has he given any indication which he prefers? I think I remember Colbert showing a lot more love for us than Geelong from interviews. Peter Bell seems to identify more as a Freo man despite winning a flag with us. Abraham is more of a mixed bag and his different kids support the roos and dockers, but he did get really emotional when he came back and presented the jumper to Howe

I'd say Sav probably feels more of a Collingwood man, given his family history and all

Potentially. But I think our preference would be more that 22-26 year old bracket.
I don't think we're going to beat out other clubs for high calibre players in this range.

We have a young squad. So bringing in guys at the end of there careers to play, support, and transition into coaching could be our point of difference.

Of course we bring in talent anyway we can.
