This might be the Hayward scars talking, but hopefully this kid can put the kgs on. I feel like it is very easy for a medium forward to get lost in a game and the only ones that fairly consistently have a big impact on games - Heeney, Greene, Fritsch, Rayner (this year at least), Dangerfield and Dusty when they used to - are the ones who are solidly-built. Can't be lanky and expect to do much damage in that role.

But to appropriate the Stones, time is on his side.

I think also when you think about the medium marking forwards that impact regularly most of them are secondary midfielders so thats how they get themselves in the game if it isn't working up forward. Fritsch probably the true exception on your list and he had an alright season with 41 in 23 games but not up to the standard of previous years of 55 ad 59 in 24 games when Melbourne were winning

Kid hasn't even played a game yet, calm down.

26 -30 was his range, has some obvious nous around goal and athleticism, fills a need in our team and AFL is drifting to these types of forwards rather than talls
Same height as Premiership legend Mitch Morton.

Fox did him dirty by using CD that had him ranked at 89 so it confused a lot of people

Not really. He wasn't anywhere near the Top 30 on any rankings. Maybe he was in one or two Top 50-odd lists. But Twomey got some late mail for his phantom draft and others followed suit, so he appeared much higher in some late lists.

It sounds like a few clubs rated him highly and then the rest/plus the "rankings" eco-system hadn't.

I remember being dropped off to residential college when I started uni many moons ago. My head was spinning, first time away from home with no one to keep me in check except myself. I went a bit crazy. Ned looks a bit more level headed than me and hopefully he has a good start to his career.

Nice, we haven't had an Accountant style joke for ages. I approve
Speaking of accountants, interviewing Ned is like talking to an accountant. He would have to be the most subdued 18 yo pro footballer ever! I reckon when it's his turn to cook, he would serve up a rump steak well done with boiled potatoes and carrots.
But I like it. The kid is clearly very level headed.
