Exactly it took xerri 5 years to get there and it's only Goads third year of competitive football.exiting prospect.
He could be our ace in the hole for next season or th season after if he continues to improve at the rate he's going. Having Xerri and him in the same side would have a few teams worried especially considering his height...

Perfect combo, the bullocking tough number 1 ruck supported by the athletic tall skilful number 2.

Question for training watchers. Larkey/Darling seems the obvious key forwards for 2025. But from reports Ive read, Darling pinch hitting in the ruck, Maley playing some time down back, Xerri playing a fair bit of time forward. Obviously coaches looking for a variety of options, whether that is get Goad in to do some ruck with Xerri going forward, Maley perhaps playing either end and pinch hitting in the ruck, (possibly freeing Comben up as well).

Overall, we have Teakle, Maley, and injured CCJ as ruck/forwards plus Goad predominately ruck but who by the sounds of his athleticism could play anywhere. So the question is, how have Maley and Goad compared to Teakle in match sim so far this year? Could one of them jump ahead of him by round 1? Or could Darling pinch hit in the ruck, and leave all 3 out? Are any of them putting their hands up to be a clear choice in the pecking order? Thoughts at this stage?

Based on output I would have it as

Maley
Teakle

Goad

Maley had had by far the most of the footy but probably equal to goals with teakle. But Maley has spent half of his time down back. Teakle has spent plenty of time in the ruck vs Goad as well as forward.

In the ruck vs Goad Teakle has been able to push him aside rather easily. Goad has looked best following up after the hitout. And then had a qrt last week where he did 3 nice things up forward Inc 1.1 and involved in setting up another.

If you’re looking for an aerial pack contest Maley and Teakle are well infront for now.

Based on today - I think Goad is probably kept pretty fresh during the week doing rehab and weights. Today he did rehab during the game. Probably can really set himself for the one ultra competitive gameplay session per week. I wonder if a guy this size at his age of development may struggle a bit more with nervous system fatigue than the smaller guys.
