Do you give them a waiver for the fade out this week because of the heat? Most of the game was in 33+degrees. Our 4th quarters this year have actually been pretty good up to this point.

Annoying yes, also a little understandable.
And it might catch up to us next Saturday.

Six day break after playing in 33 degree heat and having to travel to Adelaide again. Crows played last Thirsday night in no heat and get a 9 day break, with no travel.

Extraordinary stat revealed by Fox Sports

1. ‘EXTRAORDINARY’ STAT FOR YOUNG GIANT

When Giants youngster Harvey Thomas took to the field at Norwood Oval, he eclipsed Collingwood great Scott Pendlebury in a stunning stat. Fox Footy’s Dwayne Russell revealed Thomas’ 2025 debut match (23rd career game) was held at his 12th different AFL venue.

That number is more than two-time Magpies premiership winner Pendlebury has ventured to in his entire 408-game career.

“Harvey Thomas has played at more venues in 23 games than Scott Pendlebury’s entire career,” Russell shared. “Can you believe that?”

Fellow commentators Alastair Lynch and Mark Ricciuto were shocked by the stat. “That is an extraordinary stat,” Lynch said. “That’s a hornet’s nest you’re touching there,” he added laughing.

Ricciuto said that fact would be “getting the Collingwood fans angry” but again highlights the fixturing of Victorian teams versus an interstate outfit.

A few match observations.

What a nightmare Toby Bedford would be to play on. Does not give an inch, tackles and harasses and as soon as the ball is turned over he sprints offensively. Exhausts his opponent.

Also great to see the from of Ash. Like Toby B has a great mix of speed and endurance.

A quick shout out to Conor Stone. Great athlete and is sprinting hard to be an option. Great athlete and will continue to improve.

Going to be hard to drop young Thomas. Ultimate team man who plays his role with 100% effort.

Agree with all of that.
Wehr another that had his best performance for the club. Tackled hard and presented all day.
The depth is real ATM.

Stone works really hard off the ball, its a nice school.

He is big and fast so has great athletic traits Easy to forget he has played less than 20 games so give him time and his confidence and understanding of the defensive systems will only develop. Could compliment Ash and Whitfield.

Yes Wehr was excellent also would love to see him finish off some of his work by kicking a few majors.

Harvey Thomas (GWS)

“Didn’t get a vote from the coaches, fifth-highest rated player on the ground.”
“He is an Adam Kingsley player… Quick, nimble, creative, and tough.”
