I hear you but I’ve got Stewart & Short problems and running Prior & Trainor @ D5/D6. Gotta fix the bleed.

I’ve got most of the decent crop with Bice and possibly Hall to come for further cash gen additions. SPP and Kako are others I’ve got on forward bench.

Anyone got any background info on Henderson?

FOS my only mid rookie who is going badly so I can really only take one of:

Henderson
Murphy Reid
Elijah Hewitt

Reid the only one I’ve seen play so far (looked good for a bench rookie IMO)

The other one I’m interested in is Clay Hall – seem to remember a few had their eyes on him last year – can’t remember much about him – hard to see how I’ll be able to fit him in.

Any advice would be welcome.

I'm skipping Lashcroft. I'm gonna back my gut that Fagan will vest him before guys like Raynor, even if performance doesn't merit it. Lohmann and Cameron will be back next week or the week after. He'll be a good rookie and average around 70-75 from full games, but with zero CBAs I don't think he can get big scores, and yep, I reckon he cops the vest very soon (green and red). So be it if I'm wrong, at least my alternative should do OK.

Don't listen to me, I've got plenty of rookie decisions wrong already this year. You gotta back your gut on rookies, there's never any evidence or history to go on, anything could happen. There's a good chance he makes $200k and makes me look stupid. I'm happy to back my gut on this and accept the risks.

I’m 50/50 on this decision.

For what it's worth I'm doing the same thing. Can make more money with blokes like Henderson and (eventually) Clohesy.

Usually I'm a point chaser and trade hard on premos but it has backfired on me massively in the last 2-3 years.

Going to make sure I absolutely lock in the rookies and cash generators - points will come.

This week grabbing both Linday & COS, next week Bice.

Already own - NOD (-75), Knevitt (-56), LAshcroft (-52 and buckled on him), Reid (-51), Davidson (-46), Campo (-44), Hewett (-41), Stone (-39), Tsatas (-21), Berry (-15), Reid/Prior/Trainor.

Read and Clohesy are guys to watch over the next fortnight.

Means the only rookie I'll be missing is Henderson, albeit the cheapest ... however cannot fit him in, unless I miss Lindsay who I think plays all 22 this year.

And some rookie named Lewis Hayes just had 27 touches and 16!!!! marks in the VFL.

I think FWIW Prior is an absolute lock to be out of the side for Ridley. Think Reid just needs games at AFL level and he'll improve.

Laverde is a spud, if he comes in it reeks of desperation and a step backwards.

Kozzie Pickett will return soon, but not sure he takes his spot, because there's guys like Spargo, Sharp and Woewodin stinking it up. I reckon Henderson can stick around, I'm going to grab him.

Disappointed myself that he'll be one I have to miss, as I've got 7 other MID rookies already. Given the basement price, he'll make $120k+ at a minimum you feel.

Reid was also a top 10 pick.

He's a developmental KPD who's had a horror run of injuries. I can guarantee you that EFC want him to succeed at the top level, rather than have him in and out of the side.

I don't see what they gain by playing Hayes over Reid ATS, if he continues this form over a few weeks than a conversation needs to be had imo
