Sholl had a very good season last year as a goal kicking wingman. I have no idea what issue people have with his progress

Sholl is definitely not an issue for me, I think he plays his role well and think he is a good player to have in the side.
Smith is so beyond Cooked unless everyone gets injured he should play reserves all year, Nank Cumming Hinge Milera Ryan hell even Edwards should get a game at half back before Smith does.
But a similar path Bicks?

This is an example of taking an occasional thing and blowing it up to a ridiculous extent. The last time I used the term was in the AFLW prelim final. A couple of posters logged on after half time when the Kangas got on top of us just to say “I told you we are shit”. Not a single post when we were on top in the first half. I referred to them as Tools or Trolls and I believe it was an accurate description.

I don't think anyone's underrating Edwards career, more that some are underrating Soligo's career trajectory to this point.

The backline has to be in order to contend for a premiership. Which clubs are set up to challenge and who will struggle to restrict a strong attack?
I think our key defenders are better but I think their smalls and their run from defence is better on paper. Bergmann is also looking good down back. The loss of Houston is huge.
Laird won't fix our issues as he doesn't have penatrating kick.
McGuane really has no idea about our team though.

Mcguane mostly just has clubs lined up to roughly where he thinks they'll finish on the ladder.

2 of these won't be - Scholl & Murphy.
But Sholl & Laird likely will be.
Sholl was our best wingman last year, so unlikely he misses.
Laird clearly has been moved from midfield to defence, which is a positive as not compatible with Crouch.
Murphy buggar all chance with arrival of ANB & development of younger players.

Been disappointing since moving to the Blues.
I predicted months ago that Blues would slide next season as they lost depth & could be tested with injuries... & since how many players have they lost to injuries...

We all loved Edwards's career. I am just stating that as an 18-22 year old he was not as good as the18-22 year soligo. Except he had two flags.

Don't think he is too far off the mark to be honest - at least with regards to us so far.
He had us at 14 for midfield grouping. I have us at 12ish.
He had us at 12 for Defenders. I have us at 8th.
Great thing is how youthful our defense is - I have our starting 6 as follows:
Max (20) / Murray (24) / Worrell (23)
Hinge (26) / Keane (24) / Cumming (26). Next 3 in are Milera (27), Nank (21), Butts (25).
Forward line - I have us as top 2. Will be interesting where he puts us.
I am probably a little higher on us because I think the players are better than what our tactical genius has allowed them to be. He is probably a little lower because we sucked last year.
I think it's ok to rate our current level as not top 8. It clearly is.
Hopefully the development curve is top 8 quickly for all three lines.
I think defence definitely can be, it's very young. Another 40 games and it will be much stronger.

I'd be surprised if Soligo didn't finish his career with more individual accolades than Edwards did.
