I haven't been yet but feedback from trainer we know well. Innes has made drastic changes to fitness requirements. Most of list lacked in strength and power ratings (whatever that means?)

Players all on different programs, eating habits etc. Every player was virtually told throw out what you have been told before and listen to me now.

Every player was fully assessed only days after GF and given programs. Reviews were very "honest" Standards are very very high

PS Cerra for first time is feeling no pain or discomfort and flying. Happy man

  • Jagga clean and evasive
  • Lord kept up with Binns and Ollie in running drills
  • Weiters, Williams, McGovern, Hewett, Newman, Cincotta, Boyd all back early
  • Weiters looking fit and back to his best
  • JSOS joined in drills and running sessions
  • DBG there
  • Acres was doing some indoor running
Impressive Lord kept up with those guys. If we can add elite endurance to his list of traits, hes starting to look pretty good.

Thanks Soapy. Great to hear about Cez. If we can get the 2023 peak version back it would be massive. Was our best mid for a 6 week block or so.

Even whilst playing those hamstrings would have been messing with him big time in 24. Every kick, every sprint, every tackle, part of him would have been thinking "will it go again?". That little bit of doubt makes a big difference.

If the new Power Ratings thing is what got Chad Warner looking like a million bucks after looking fairly average through juniors then I'm all for it!

Adding some explosiveness to players like Walsh, Cowan, Elijah, Ollie, Motlop etc would make a huge difference to their games.

Really happy with this. Thanks Soapy V.
I've been waiting to hear about Innes.
Critical part of the plan that needs to be gotten right if we are to succeed.
Imo, this should be right up there for the most liked posts.

So no open training sessions at ikon park.

Though on the flipside every session at latrobe effectively becomes open as itd be tough to keep people out there?
The ground is very new and is across the road from the Uni. I may be wrong but I think it has a fence around it. I will check it out next time I go past it. I hope it is open as it is just up the road from me.

Cowan and Moir look in ripping nick from what ive seen. Tall, lean and strong.

Weitering looks best ever. right mix of mature strength now. Not over bulky but still strong as an ox, but looks a bit more athletic.

Williams looks best nick since landing at Princes Park. Hope he's got another year in that body.

Motlop looks more athletic. Great shape now. Should be speedier but still strong.

Jagga looks and acts a class above. He will never see reserves footy. Str8 in and make a difference. Something about people who know they have prepared better, and are better than most peers.

Core strength = ability to handle high training loads
I believe its explosive power. I remember Stringers old manager talked about the tests in an interview and said they do to test power in draftees. Was all machines where they'd do extremely short movements at maximum intensity. Machines to test leg extension, hamstring curl, ball toss etc.

Could be way off but I've seen some videos from the NFL where they do similar.

I'm glad to hear this... but, I'm surprised at how far Andrew Russell has left the players behind - wasn't AR supposed to be the best in the business?
